Alright its his right as a American to fight the damn ticket if you have a problem with that then move to china because even though he deserves the ticket by fighting it he is keeping the Highway patrol honest

The 100% is believable. Here in my city if you don't show up for court when you are summonsed, you could be disciplined and lose hours (last one I hear lost 20hrs, that's about $700). That's a big incentive to show up. If you are sick the prosecutor will ask (and will usually get) an adjournment to another date. I don't know what California is like but I'm guessing that they must have something similar in effect.

That is not true. Most cops DO NOT show up. I had a law professor even tell the class "if you get a ticket fight it because the cop never shows up and they always reduce the ticket, at least"
So fight it and maybe they will reduce it. Mine was and no the cop didnt show up for a speeding ticket.

You admit in your opening statement you were going 90.

Sorry.

No help here. You don't deserve any help.

BTW, 100% of CHP shows up to court.

Deal with it.

On the ticket does it state "approximately" if that word is in there he or she was not using radar. They will always set the date where the officer is available. When you get pulled over you should be the dumbest person on the planet, you don`t know why you are being pulled over, you don`t know what the speed limit is and you don`t know how fast you were going.

Try not speeding.

People like you are a menace on the highway, and if you want sympathy, LOL!
Learn something about traffic safety and courtesy and you won't be in this predicament again.

Were you speeding? Yes? Don't fight it. You knew you were breaking the law when you passed the cop, which I will have to say was very stupid. Next time, don't speed.

Most times, when you go to court, you can usually get the fine reduced. I would just go, and be honest, not loose your temper. Odds are, you may get it reduced or down to a warning. Good luck.

You don't need the Officer in court to be found guilty. He/she is only there if their testimony is required.
