Does it seem that our country and most of the liberals (and yes a few conservatives too) have started acting like people did in the 60's and 70's when the vietnam war was being fought???? So many people seem to have a hippie liberal point of view with regards to the war in Iraq, just as many did when our guys were in Vietnam in the late 60's and early 70's. If you agree or disagree with me, let me know, and don't charge at me with hate or discontent, I am just asking for your opionions and not hate mail, there is way to much of that on here already.

I believe the underlying basis of the "You are either with us or against us'' mentality on the part of Bush and the Neo-Cons is PARTISAN first and foremost.

If Bush's foreign policies on Iraq have killed more Americans than 9-11, isnt it our patriotic duty to say "This is wrong and it must change"?

Why is criticism of a disasterous administration "treason"?
Isn't looking at the situation objectively without a partisan slant be in fact our patriotic duty at this time, given the number of American lives at stake?

Why do we elect so called adults who can not get past the concept that war is no longer a practical solution unless you are willing to inflict substantial collateral damage to break the will of the people . The people who by their own admission in Iraq think its ok to kill american soldiers.
Overall, 47% say they approve of “attacks on US-led forces” (23% strongly). There are huge differences between ethnic groups. An extraordinary 88% of Sunnis approve, with 77% approving strongly. Forty-one percent of Shia approve as well, but just 9% strongly. Even 16% of Kurds approve (8% strongly). SO are we fighting the war to place the kurds in charge or will we have people who want to kill americans in charge .
almost half that country wants us dead .
we should go folks ok or begin an arial attack that results in complete surrender one or the other .

I have a question. Disney created the characters Lilo and Stitch as well as the movie of the same name. I was inspired by the movie to create my own character based off Stitch's concept. Now, what I want to know, is if it will be copyright infringement if I sell art of my character for money? Thanks loads.

who waste human lives and billions of dollars on foolish foreign policies? making america the most hated nation on planet?

2007-03-27 09:29:20 · 42 answers · asked by daniel d 2 in Politics

In short, my question is: Do you think that our judicial system in it's entirety could use some reform.

Now, the some of the reasons I ask are:

Hypocrisy, hypocrisy, hypocrisy. Does it make sense to put people in jail for possesion of marijuana or other illegal substances, when the government makes billions of dollars each year by taxing alcohol, which is one of the most destructive substances that anyone could imbibe, and ciggarettes, which are some of the nastiest, most addictive, foulest, disgusting and harmful things ever, and yet we continue to mass produce them in factories...and then complain about overcrowding. Look, a murderer belongs in jail, but why you gonna throw Shaggy and Scooby in there with him?

Then there are the corrupt "representatives of the court". I certainly hope that you are as a whole aware that theireare many of them out there. Police officers, judges, etc...they are all human too, they simply have badges and guns and so can tell me my rights.

WASHINGTON -- Monica Goodling, a Justice Department official involved in the firings of federal prosecutors, will refuse to answer questions at upcoming Senate hearings, citing Fifth Amendment protection against self-incrimination, her lawyer said Monday.

"The potential for legal jeopardy for Ms. Goodling from even her most truthful and accurate testimony under these circumstances is very real," said the lawyer, John Dowd.

He said that members of the House and Senate Judiciary committees seem already to have made up their minds that wrongdoing has occurred in the firings.

instead of sending criminals to prision we send them to the one state facility where they will be placed according to crime. The first divided area would be for first time offenders. When they enter, they are given a one room shack with bed and bath and kitchen. They are given a place to grow their food or can fish and hunt for the rest. No electricity. They wash their own clothes and totally take care of themselves. They may be offered vocational classes to prepare them when they get out. We let them learn from the basics why law and order had to be instituted for society to thrive. They will see how it feels to be subject to robbery and violence. They are free inside the areas. Second area is for more serious offenders and second timers. Third area is for the lifers. There should be no probation for good behavior but they can move forward in the areas. Criminals need to get back to nature and be separated from the world while they are inprisioned.System not working.Comments please?

Judges and Magistrates seem to be so out of touch and I feel let our police system down when the culprits go to court - I think a better system would be for the average Mother or Father to be a magistrate and see if this can turn a failing system round. For sure the punishment should fit the crime - but is it....We need heads of courts as above who are from the real world.

Are we really the land of the free? When the government says that females a certain age (in some cities) must get a shot that may prevent a certain type of cancer. This freaks me out. What's next? Why is it, that we're all created equal, but homosexuals can't express their love for one another legally? Why can't I use my hands free cell phone in some places while I am driving? Why am I not allowed to smoke in public?Serioulsy, what's next?

I was going over my bank statement and found charges I never made. I traced them back to someone hacking into an online account and getting access to my debit card. I closed my accounts before any real damage was done, but I'm afraid they might be using my other information as well, since they hacked into a site that had my full name and birthdate (not SSN though) What do I need to do to ensure they don't try anything else?

Ok, I was walking my pitbull, on a leash, about an hour ago to the mailbox in my apartment complex. All of the sudden, another pitbull who was on a leash that was not being held by the owner rushed up to my dog and attacked it. My dog was good and stayed by my side like she was trained, but when the dog was attacking her, she did fight back. I was trying to get control of my dog and in the process my hands are cut up from rope burn on the leash. I was so mad, that I just gathered my stuff up (obviously the mail was dropped all over the ground)...and got my dog away from that crazy dog. Now, I'm starting to wonder if I should call my apt. manager to let her know what happened, just in case that woman...who didn't even say sorry, btw tries to do something crazy. I took pictures of the deep rope burns on my hands, not to sue or anything just to prove that I had the leash, while she didn't. So should I call, or should I not be worried? My dog is fine, btw, don't know about hers.

I can't believe that Americans think they have a say in what their government does. Money makes things happen in this country, not the will of the people. Everyone here seems to be brainwashed. I don't know how many people told me that I don't have the right to complain because I didn't vote. I live in Texas. The republican presidential candidate will win 100% of my states electorcal votes regaurdless of what I do. So what is the point. I can vote on local offices and issues, but local money is going to decide what the outcome of this is anyways. Only about 1% of the decisions made by voters can be influenced by a single person without a gazillion dollars. You say "write your senator". What a bunch of BS. We are all sheep and the elite will decide our fate. Don't get me wrong. I do love my country and I want what is best for everyone. That is what makes me different. The elite greedy egomaniacs will continue to run this country. Until we hurry up and have a revolution.
