Face it, the troops are basically the lowest paid mercenaries we have running around in Iraq. They are there doing errands for people, and I use that term loosely, like Dick Cheney and Rex Tillerton (CEO of Exxon-Mobil).

They are dying so rich men can become richer, dont dellude yourselves into thinking anything different.

As a recovering liberal I just wanted to say thanks to the conservatives who set me straight in my own thinking. Having been in that state of mind where self-pity, self loathing, denial were common place in my life, conservatives gave me hope, a desire to succeed, and meaning to my life whereas liberals told me it was hopless, it's not your fault, it's Bush's fault and and the idea society dictates who will fail and who will succeed. After listening to conservatives and actually trying, I'm much happier, getting things done, going to school and have a pro-social attitude. Thanks for helping me break the chains of liberalism.

This is from my hometown in Long Island. Cops in my town are the second highest paid in the nation. They barely see any crime so how do they pass their time? By going on power-rides and giving us teenagers tickes for no reason.

I swear to god send these power hungry cops to bootcamp and then will learn what discipline and honor really is.

They think just because they have the gun and the badge they are so amazing. I mean cops in my town get paid 100k+. WHERE IN THIS WHOLE NATION WILL YOU SEE THAT A COP GETS PAID THAT MUCH? SHOOT YOU DONT EVEN NEED TO GO TO COLLEGE. you just need a high school diploma.

I'm an American, but my heritage is from Mexico. I believe in God and am conservative. So many multi-cultural people I speak to agree with what I do, yet most claim to be a democrat. (I'm sorry, but a conservative democrat is an oxymoron in my book!)

But they're so afraid to show that they're conservative! Just say it! I do and I couldn't care less what anyone thinks! I vote my conscience!! According to the treatment of Miguel Estrada by the democratic party, people like me are a serious threat.

So forget the initial question, just do us all a big favor and quit being so scared!!!! Who gives a rats behind if someone doesn't like it!

Stand your ground and be proud that you live in a country where IT'S OKAY TO SAY AND THINK WHAT YOU WANT!!!! And if someone doesn't like it, to hell with them!!

Land of the free and home of the brave!!!

The Supreme Court's decision upheld the constitutionality of Section Three of the Expatriation Act of 1907, and determined that marriage to an alien was a voluntary act of expatriation. The act of marriage to a foreigner equaled the act of expatriation, similar to an act of renouncing American citizenship by serving in a foreign-armed service, or swearing allegiance to a foreign crown or government.

Is this act still in place today? IF not how is an American woman's citizenship affected, if at all, when she marries someone of another nationality?

My name is Sean and I was born in America. I'm 20 years old and I happen to be a muslim. My parents fled Iran in 79 and we live in Los Angeles. I've had a pretty good childhood and recently I wanted to join the Marines. Thing is, when I tell my friends and family that I'm joining the military they keep asking me "why do you want to fight your own people?". I live in a predominantly muslim community, and now the fact that I'm muslim and I want to be a soldier, people are acting differently around me. I dunno how to respond to them because these are the guys i grew up around, and after I went to the recruiting office they've started to treat me like an outcast. I asked this question because if anybody out there in Yahoo Answers is going through what I am going through? If so, how do I deal with it?

Ok... well I guess I've been wondering this for a long time..
But I've been afraid to ask it, cuz yes its upsetting to a lot of woman activists who say its their body, yeah right.
My question is, how come murder is definately horrible but abortion is thought by some to be "their right". It is a baby in there, just cuz you can't see it, doesn't mean its not there.
And yes I believe that if the woman is going to die from giving birth something has to be done.. but ESPECIALLY as a form of birth control, it just makes me so sick. There is always adoption centers, help centers.. all that. Abortion is NOT A BIRTH CONTROL, it is killing a baby, I don't see how anyone can just decide, "I don't want another baby, or I don't want a baby," its so sad.. :[
I mean does the guy have any say in it? Not usually.. doesn't seem right..

Aren't you glad you weren't aborted when you were a baby in your mama's tummy?

Give figures and if possible calculations (e.G. miles of bridges built and so on...)

If weed is legalized and we give them free ammounts will there be more people in the army because of it? I feel it should happen because it is a small price to keep freedom. It is giving those that fight more freedom as well.

You are at your office, and one of your clients walks in, and places a gun, that has been fired on your desk. What do you do with the gun? Also this same client has knowledge of a defendant that you defended, and that client, the one you defended was found guilty but the client that gave you the gun knows he or she is innocent. Now that you have information about the wrongfully imprisoned client from another client, morally, and ethically speaking should you, or would you break the attorny-client priviledge? Would you litigate the attorney-client priviledge clause? Assume you defended the jailed client first, for armed robbery and first degree murder and he or she is on death row.
