Why do we elect so called adults who can not get past the concept that war is no longer a practical solution unless you are willing to inflict substantial collateral damage to break the will of the people . The people who by their own admission in Iraq think its ok to kill american soldiers.
Overall, 47% say they approve of “attacks on US-led forces” (23% strongly). There are huge differences between ethnic groups. An extraordinary 88% of Sunnis approve, with 77% approving strongly. Forty-one percent of Shia approve as well, but just 9% strongly. Even 16% of Kurds approve (8% strongly). SO are we fighting the war to place the kurds in charge or will we have people who want to kill americans in charge .
almost half that country wants us dead .
we should go folks ok or begin an arial attack that results in complete surrender one or the other .

First off, war is the result of failure of communication and a failure of policy. This is true throughout history. Even WWII was the result of failed policies after WW1. That said, there are times, such as WWII, when war is unavoidable. However, this is NOT WWII and war with Iraq was completely unnecessary, especially since they had nothing to do with 9/11 and they never attacked us, nor did they ever intend to attack us. Anyone who compares this war with WWII has rocks for brains. If we behaved the same way during WWII as we are behaving now, we would have attacked Paraguay for the Japanese bombing of Pearl Harbor. So, to answer your question in a more complete way, this particular war on Iraq that Bush waged is childish and selfish and completely evil and wrong. Unfortunately, people who still are foolish enough to back Bush to this day don't have the maturity to see this war for what it really is. And, they don't want to hear the realities of the tragedies that the Iraqie people are enduring because of this horrible horrible war that Bush is waging. The ultimate insult to the Iraqi people is Bush saying that the Iraqi people should be more grateful to him for what he has done. My god, this man destroyed their peace, destroyed their neighborhoods, destroyed their livlihoods, destroyed their lives and is responsible for the murder of hundreds of thousands of Iraqies. And, he has the childish reasoning to say THEY should be more grateful? Un-fvcking believable.

BTW, War is the ultimate death and destruction, not just of lives, but of culture, of the environment, of safety and security and of livlihoods. To say that war is something that is to confront death and destruction isn't seeing war for what it truly is.

This is a sweeping generalization. You actually would agree to allowing Hitler to take over the world and inflict his final solution because war is immature. You really need to think things through. Nothing in this world is that simple and by trying to simplify it, you are just going to give into those who are prepared to use force to gain their ends.

So in WWII, when the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor, would you prefer that we had not gone to war with them? Honestly, sometimes, given the nature of the enemy, war is the only answer.

War has always been the ultimate exercise of the political will.

I think we all agree that this war started by deception of Americans after suffering the devastation of 911. We should not be there. Social security coul be fixed forever,AMERICA COULD BE OUT OF DEBT AND EVERYONE COULD HAVE HAD INSURANCE FOR WHAT WE HAVE AND WILL CONTINUE TO SPEND ON THIS DEVASTATING DECISION.

Yes, war is brutal, inhumane, immature, unintellectual, diabolical, manipulative and expensive.

Maybe those that want to start wars would save their souls and some money if they looked into talk therapy.

You got it!

It is childish sandbox fighting on a large, deadly scale.

We could learn much from naturally liberal children who abhor
hate and causing death.
