Me and mad Kieth finally agree on something, cool. I'm afraid there wont be any saving of tax for prayer rooms or anything else. A letter I'm draughting to my MP will have a mention of this in it. I think the council tax is just about high enough now, and its a little irritating hearing the councils blame the govt and vice verse.

nonsense you're charged via the form of bedrooms interior the abode and the value of the abode whether you substitute a mattress room to a distinctive room the form of bedrooms is desperate via council while the abode initially have been given making plans permission. The council wont cut back the council tax for a house (are you able to think of in the event that they did easily everyone might attempt it on). in the event that they boost their abode and make a prayer room it particularly is feasible they wont get charged because it particularly isn't any longer seen to be a mattress room (in spite of the incontrovertible fact that ok we dont be attentive to whether it particularly is used as such.) however the value of the abode might improve so next time the abode gets valued oftentimes each and every 10-15 years in spite of the incontrovertible fact that that varies from council to council they might get charged extra. purely extra closet racism

Pretty sure it's an urban myth. The rules for council tax are laid down for the whole of the UK . The only difference between counties is the rate they levy.

I have seen this before on local TV (in Lancashire) I think it has to be open to the public, like a church or a mosque. Not just someone who calls there spare room a prayer room.

Nice try though mate.

It's an urban myth that BNP racists like to spread, hinting that Muslims are avoiding paying taxes like the rest of us and suggesting an entitlement that non-Muslims can't get.

It is, of course, total bollocks.

Urban myth based on churches or places of worship being exempt.

You cant just do that with your house!

I have personally never heard of it. I think if such a ruling exists that you are going to need alot more than your word. Sounds like a loophole to get out of paying taxes to me.

What rubbish!

In any case, this Government would probably charge MORE Council Tax, not less, for doing this.

Maybe, if you're Muslim.

A judge in Missouri has ruled that a Muslim can abuse his wife.
It's in the Koran.

What next?
