Ok, the logic is if you don't support the war you don't support the troops, or so I've been told. But what about the generals who stated that we didn't go in with enough troops, that Al Anbar province is a lost cause, that the military is overstretched, etc.?
Are they unpatriotic? Are they undermining the troops? Should they be shot for treason?
If you're in the military, which leaders do you listen to? Commander in chief or the guy in charge of your division?

Summer is coming fast, and with all the problems in the middle east I believe big oil will be gouging us up to
$4.00 or more a gallon so when it drops back to $3.00 we will think it is ok because it's not $4.00 a gallon anymore. Glad we have a government that says price gouging and record profits are a good thing when consumers are struggling to make their house payments because these big companies are taking more of their money than they should be. When a society is dependent upon oil and the government lets "Capitalism" be the deciding factor for allowing these companies to commit market fraud to keep prices up and fear in the average consumer, there is something very very wrong.

It seems polls keep changing - with one week the Conservative being close to the Liberals and then one week they are quite ahead. It does not make sense to me. People generally seem to always vote for the same party and don't keep changing their minds. Considering Canada's lack of interest in politics (ie. voting turnout) I find it surprising that any news about any political party can have such a profound effect and change people's minds. Everyone I've spoken to either did not know there was a budget or did not know what was in it. I think people are a little smarter than flip-flopping their support weekly. Most don't even know whats going and/or don't seem to care enough to change their mind. There must be something wrong with how these polls are being conducted. What do you think?

If you think back to 9/11 the terrorists held up the plane with box cutters and got through a small cardboard door. Wouldn't it be cheaper and easier to:
a) have armed sky marshalls in uniform where the ration is about 1 marshall to 10 passengers
b) Fortify cockpit door where only the pilots can open it from inside the cockpit.
c) Arm the cockpit, mainly because most pilots are either current or former military personnell with adequate weapons training.
d) Go back to the old screening process where the primary objective was to look for guns, real knives and explosives
I think these measures would work much better and be more efficient than current dog and pony show we call airport security.

the crime was minor and i was let off with a ticket, this means i have no criminal record or record of arrest or anything.. so what am i suppose to show the consulate if i'm asked for a court record or police record? i'm confused.

Also will i be accused of misrepresentation by the consulate if i don't state i "commited" a crime of moral turpitude at the US Port of entry every time i visit the US, there is no record of this as again i was let off with a slap on the wrist.

Or does he have a responsibility to all americans? Abe Lincoln filled his posts with people who wanted to be president...all parties, and many who were his biggest critics on the handling of the civil war. Could Bush have benefitted from some diversity in his cabinet? Would he receive as much criticism over his handling of the war, and his secrecy as president? When did we get away from engaging opposition in the debate, and turn to a 'must be agreeable to get anything done'?

I want to support our troops in America, and over seas. But just do not have a lot of money to show my support. Sure I can pray, and put the bumper sticker on my car. I want to do more I know joining is the biggest step, just have to finish college first. Maybe write them a letter? Anyone know a site where you can send a letter to our troops, or soldiers? Also what do you usually say? Thanks for any input. Semper Paratus.

I recently bought a used motorcycle from a guy that i found off of craigslists. On the website, he advertised the bike as a 1999. Even when I went with some friends that know a lot about bikes to purchase the bike from him, he was still saying it was a 1999. Anyways, we went through with the transaction. Not until the contract was signed and the money was in his hand did he hand me the title, which is understandable. But it was not until I got over to the DMV that I realized that the title said that the bike was a 1998, instead of a 1999 like he originally advertised. Now the guy won't return my calls or anything. Could I sue to to get back some of my money for this false advertisement? I only bookmarked ad and it is no longer on the site, and I never printed it out which now I realize was a very stupid move on my part. And the bike also had a few hundred dollars worth of repairs that needed to be done to it, but I know i probably couldn't get this money back because I bought it as-is.

This is what happened to a friend of mine:The supervisor of a privately contracted company discovered her employees committing a theft in the baggage ramp area and contacted law enforcement officers. X and Y were working the baggage ramp when they conspired and stole a digital camera. A witness, another employee, observed the two working the belly of the aircraft, loading baggage. He later saw them standing in front of their shared locker acting suspiciously. This behavior is suspicious because thieves in the past have hidden stolen items in their lockers. The digital camera was found in their shared locker. The later admitted that the camera had fallen out of one of the bags and they conspired to hide it in their locker.
Charges Filed / Max Jail / Max Fines:
PC 484 (a) Petty Theft / 6 months / $1,000
PC 485 Misappropriation of Property / 6 months / $1,000
182(a)(4) Conspiracy / 1 yr / $10,000
they were sharing the locker but he didnt stole the camera it was the other guy.
Help!
