If you think back to 9/11 the terrorists held up the plane with box cutters and got through a small cardboard door. Wouldn't it be cheaper and easier to:
a) have armed sky marshalls in uniform where the ration is about 1 marshall to 10 passengers
b) Fortify cockpit door where only the pilots can open it from inside the cockpit.
c) Arm the cockpit, mainly because most pilots are either current or former military personnell with adequate weapons training.
d) Go back to the old screening process where the primary objective was to look for guns, real knives and explosives
I think these measures would work much better and be more efficient than current dog and pony show we call airport security.
TSA Screener: You can't bring that "mouthwash" and after shave on board
Passenger: Oh wait sorry, (passenger puts those two bottles into a 1 quart ziploc bag where it fits nicely
TSA Screener: now it is ok.

Really my plan is intended to shift the focus of security more onto the planes themselves and less on the airport. Still screening bags and persons to makesure they are not carrying major explosives, guns and other serious weapons, and not need to focus on things like nail cutters KY Jelly and multi tool devices. Also, you do not need to make profiling a major concern, mainly because terrorists know how to alter there image to shift the focus away from them. Remember Richard Reid was a white male also the biggest racial group of muslims in the USA are not arabs, but Blacks.

Completely isolate the cockpit compartment, once the three or four pilots are in there, it remains sealed until one of them opens it from the inside.

do not overlook the main present situation. No beverages of any varieties onto the plane. No gels the two. the only way they are allowed is that in the event that they are holiday length bins of like cleansing soap and shampoo--i.e. sufficient for one use in basic terms. So, you will have an further rate of procuring for hygiene factors once you attain your holiday spot in case you would be at your holiday spot for greater effective than at some point. in case you overlook, get thirsty, and purchase a water or soda or coffee outdoors the gate's protection checkpoint, you get to throw it away and then purchase an entire new one interior close to the airline gate. Starbuck's ought to've enjoyed that alter. in basic terms gotta ask your self how many "Oh sh*t, I forgot" revenues they are getting now.

Airports should be manned by only lawful American citizens. No Illegal should be hired in any capacity. Pre-screening would cut down on the wait in line to be screened. Some airports are still too easily accessed by outside vendors and restaurants on wheels!

Their security is a joke. What in the hell is a ziploc bag going to do?
Some call me racist, but they should also profile. My then 4 yr. old blonde daughter was terrified when they pulled her and I aside and wanded us from our head to our toes and going over obvious embarrassing places. I am disgusted as to how they are handling it and yes, I agree with another that they should be U.S. citizens that only speak English and a background check.
It sucks when you have a nice camera in your suitcase, that you can't lock, but anyone can go through it and STEAL your camera.
I would rather drive 12 miles than put up with that bullsh**!!!!

I'm waiting for someone to start up an airline that requires all passengers to fly in the nude, no carryon, no luggage. You would give all your luggage to a separate cargo flight to meet at your destination, and be given a bathrobe just before deplaning.

You are correct. Airport workers should be citizens only and screened appropriately also.
The airport screening practices are to teach US citizens how to allow their privacy to be compromised as in a repressed regime.

I fly often and the airports are secure more than enough in now days, to the point that it's getting ridiculous. More security? No, thanks/
