I thought that it never really ended. Considering some of the wages that people are paid and the way people are treated I thought that we still have slave labor in America already. That is is a live and doing well as it always has been.

do you know what slave labor implies, and what you are implying? this is the state of america ,it never dealt with its rascism. slavery was condoned by the pope, religious leaders, constitutional writers, politicians, the south etc... the mason dixon line is still there,as well as the slave mentality. slavery is gone but its practices and rascist veiws and traditions are stil here. it is time for this country to burn, the declaration of independence, **** the 4th of july, thanksgiving ,xmas, everything you know in this country black and white (people) is wrong ,but the benefitor is never willing to give up lifes luxury's to lift up the bullied and oppressed. would you call all colored folks dirty and animals.could you pass by a dead black woman on a road ,and idly talk about say how t bake cookies? can you kill or whip a man just for looking at ,or brushing your horse. can you rape as many black women as pssible for a year and pass her along and still say you love your wife and deny all your kids out of wedlock? could you work a man from sun up til sun down and feed him left over pig slopcan you by law kill or beat a black woman or man for running away from your harsh treatment and then agree that your slave has a slave condition called drapetomania. if your brain is that little like the white folks of society from 1600's to 2007 then yes we should bring back slavery.

no.
Slavery leads to economic stagnation. Slaves do not earn wages, hence they have no capitol to add to the consumption of goods. It lowers a tax base, stagnates technology and economy, and substantically undermines the economic stability of a given region.
Plus, there are the moral concerns as well. But even by economic standards, you would be stepping over a dime to save a nickel.

this has gotta be the stupidest question i have yet encountered here.
black folks were brought here in a more ignorant, more brutal time in human history, and subjugated for far too long. though the Poeverty Pimps like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton refuse to recognize it because it may cut into their gravy-train, the American Dram is open and available to anyone, regardless of their race...it's just a question of how hard, how smart they're willing to work.
slavery has been eliminated here...for good reason. it is morally repugnant to attempt to own another human being.
are you aware that the only people in this world who currently own slaves are in Africa?
sad, but true.

They still got it, in the form of the prison system. Why you think Blacks are given longer sentences these days?

If you're looking to the tax payers for free stuff (medical care, food stamps, housing, and other welfare), perhaps you should work for your free room and board.
Slavery is never right, but at least they had a place to live, and they worked. That seemed a little more fair than our tax dollars supporting people who DON'T want to work.

We would essentially be doing so by making Hillary Clinton our president.
She wants to remove the right of private citizens to make a profit. (Example: Oil companies).
When you can't receive the benefit of your own work, you are a slave.
