Charging a round number seems much more sensible to me. Then they could sell just one or two stamps at a time without having to mess around with silly pennies or one cent stamps.
I bet that bulk mailing companies get a discount anyway, so why would they care what the price of single one cent stamp is?

Warming?

Do people understand the difference? Without question, the Earth has been heating up. What is questionable is the cause.

So when you hear some politician say that 90% of scientist agree that Global Warming is occuring, know that they can only say that becuase they know you will confuse the two and can deny it later.

If it's so easy for advertisers to place their spyware on our computers, then it must be equally easy for the Feds to do it. I'm beginning to feel like Winston Smith in Orwell's "1984." Does anyone else feel the same? From tele screens to mouses, keyboards, and computer screens. Whatever happened to our Constitutional right to privacy? How do others feel about this? Any comments?

A lot of people seem to have strong opinions about thins they know very little about. Perhaps for some it is preferred to see things in black and white. I just want to know why people jump to conclusions without knowledge to back it?

Bad intel on global warming? Or bad intel on WMDs? Which has been proven to be bad intel? And which has cost more money and lives? Do those who think that global warming should be researched more, and not acted on until we can be sure, also feel that going to Iraq was a mistake?

Dear Sirs, please stop my assistance since I got a job begging in October

I am writing the Welfare Dept. to say that my baby was born 2 years old. When do I get my money?

Mrs. Jones has not had any clothing for a year and has been visited regularly by the clergy.

I cannot get sick pay. I have had 6 children. Can you tell me why?

I am glad to report that my husband who was reported missing is dead.

This is my eighth child. What are you going to do about it?

Please find for certain if my husband is dead, as the man I am living with can't do a thing until he knows.

I am very much annoyed to find you have branded my boy as illiterate. This is a dirty lie. I was married to his father a week before he was born.

In answer to your letter, I have given birth to a boy weighing 10 pounds. I hope this is satisfactory.

I am forwarding my marriage certificate and my 3 children, one of which was a mistake as you can see.

Unless I get my husband's mo

Coming from the Latin prefix "Poli-" meaning "many" and from the word "ticks" meaning "blood-sucking parasites"

Therefore: Politics = many blood-sucking parasites.
