I think I detect the zen koan nature of your question. 16 of the hijackers I seem to recall were from Saudi Arabia. Saudi being the biggest producer of oil is also thus one of the biggest contributors to global warming. We "allow" global warming by supporting the Saudi regime and the oil industry by way of driving SUVs and all sorts of other energy wasteage. And thus, we allowed 911 to happen by... not stopping it.
