Whether we like it or not- let's face it. Money, or economics, is the center of this civilization. Not just USA but the whole world.
Major wars were for money, colonialization was for money, we all work for money and always wish and dream we had much more than what we have.
Rich people are treated special because most often, they'll help others make money- though not as much as they make. And, they know how to make us spend OUR hard earned money on useless things that we take pride in owning.
We believe that using Microsoft Windows or a Parker pen etc ( No offense meant to MSN and Parker, I love their products) helps us make money- because it helps in our work. And others help us spend because they know we want to spend- for example, cigarettes- which billions around the world pay for, to ruin their own health.
Rich people know how to get richer because they can pay dozens others to take the right market decisions for them. We, on the other hand, are fully engrossed in our daily lives and trying to make the best of it, despite so many hurdles.
Money is important to everybody because imagine what would happen to those who dont have it? Those who've been poor once know what it means to crave for things- even the basic ones- which we dont have. Those who've been through the experience dont want to have it again and those who have not- are careful to avoid being poor.
Relax, its not just USA where people think a lot about money. The phenomenon is universal and has been going on since ancient times when both kings and pirates battled across seas for treasures.
Rich people are rich because they GRAB the opportunities they get to expand their wealth and have the necessary resources to do and the will. Opportunities come to us as well, but either we are too lazy or too stupid to realize what could catapult us from ordinary to the rich.
Money has not changed its character. We humans have- with all our modern day needs and demands.

Money - and people with money - isn't more important than those with less. Everyone is equal in God's eyes. It's humanity's eyes and opinions that say one is better than another... and the Lord tells us not to curry favor to one over another. I think too many people forget that part of the Bible when they're chasing dreams and trying to keep up with the Joneses.

I agree with you. People are more important than money. Money doesn't make a person better or worse. A person's actions make the person better or worse.
Also, people who use good grammar are more important than people who use poor grammar. There are more grammatical errors in your question than I have fingers on my hand. Your homework assignment for the day is to correct your grammar errors. And when you correct them, then you will become a more important person. Good luck.

The media create these people as important. Bloomberg took it a step further. He became mayor twice of NY through lies and oiver 125 million out of his own pockets for phony propaganda which media related. People believe anything and everything too often.

money makes the world go round!
Did yoy get this point, when you are poor no one will come to you but as soon as you get some money and there they are they will resect you so much that you will wonder if it the same persom you are talking to whe just a few months ago this same person would not even reply to your greeting.
so it is not us as humans that are valuable but the money,I realy feel it too.But it is apone us to give moral values to our children,i realy do try my best to teach my children but the enviroment plays a big role.

Who are these 'people' you speak of? Politicians? Politicians don't care about anything but their own wealth and power. They don't care about middle America. Our best option is to realize this, do for ourselves, and try not to get screwed by the rich.

people who think of wealth on my own could provide happiness, could desire greater & greater of it. yet, people who found out the happiness of existence isn't in 'funds' care a jote for it. Are all the prosperous greater effective than happy constantly?

This world is run by money. Those who have it, want more. Those who don't have it, want it (yes, these are generalizations).
It is just a fact of life, it is just a cold fact of life.
