Basically is it considered entrapment if a police car had his headlights off at night when it was dark and clocked you speeding then turned his headlights on to pull you over and write the ticket?

money to train the millions of homeless Americans(many of them vets) to get jobs and invigorate this economy?

Neocons don't realize that money goes in circles. If the very few elite have all the money, the economy will flounder and finally fail.

Treat the poor as good as you can, because any of us could be among them some day. All it takes is a series of bad luck. I am thankful for what I have, but I know that I could easily lose it.

This neocon worship of CEO's golden parachutes amazes me. They think these Ebenezer Scrooges will hand them something if they suck up enough. The thing that they don't understand is when he does hand them something it will be a lump of coal.

US voter participation is abysmal to say the least. Should citizens be monetarily penalized if they don't vote?

Here's a proposal to get the ball rolling.

A 5% tax is levied against gross unadjusted earnings. At the polling place, a receipt with a code number is issued when you vote, which you attach to your tax return (or supply the code when you e-file). This removes the voting tax. Appropriate exemptions would of course be made for infirmity, etc.

Can we have a non-partisan debate on this, without lib/con or dem/repub slurs and invective?

People have died for our right to vote. We can honor them best by living up to our responsibility.

Comments, suggestions, objections?

The economy was the only light in the dark world that is the Bush Presidency. Last week the market dropped faster than Mark Foleys pants at a boy scout meeting and all indications are that we are entering a recession. Has this completed the Bush Tri-fecta of Failure?

A lot of voters are registered as democrats, because their family was always democrat. They vote strictly democrat, like a jack ***, when they have no idea what it means. If you were to ask these people questions about some of the issues, you would find find that they actually should have voted on the republican. Come on people a lot's changed in a hundred years. All I'm asking is: If you are going to vote, please, do a little homework, and know who to vote for. Figure out the difference between a democrat and a republican.

or do they look at them as "lowly scum" and ignore them.

Neocons fail to realize that anyone of us could fall on hard times. It doesn't make them any less of a human being. Believe it or not there are highly intelligent people that would work hard if only given a chance. Judge not lest ye be judged.

We moved into our home this last summer. As my husband and I were doing some backyard landscaping we had a radio on in our patio, but it was at a level that we could bearly hear, however our neighbor( old and single), came over to tell us to turn it down. She has numerously knocked on our door to tell us to put the music down when my boys have it on in their bedrooms too. I have decided to allow the kids to play music, and play video games in the garage, but we followed the ordinance, that noise needs to be off by 10 pm, and that we should stand in front of our house and make sure we can't hear it from the sidewalk. We have followed all the rules, but she still calls the COPS on us, she even called the COPS because my boys were playing with pallet guns around the house. What can I do to have her stop complaining. Can I make a complaint about her nusance. She don't let us enjoy our home for one second. My Boys are teens, Young Marines and CERT certified, we are a Christian Family.
