A lot of voters are registered as democrats, because their family was always democrat. They vote strictly democrat, like a jack ***, when they have no idea what it means. If you were to ask these people questions about some of the issues, you would find find that they actually should have voted on the republican. Come on people a lot's changed in a hundred years. All I'm asking is: If you are going to vote, please, do a little homework, and know who to vote for. Figure out the difference between a democrat and a republican.

I know who I'm voting for. I knew right after he announced his candidacy back in December: John Edwards. I 'm very involved in local democratic politics here in Travis County, and know there are some huge differences between republicans and democrats. I also know that some republicans and even some democrats can be a mixture, just as George Lakoff describes in his book "Thinking Points". He calls them biconceptuals --- those who may be socially conservative and fiscally liberal or vice versa. Check it out!

My guess is that only 10% of voters know what or who they are voting for. Someone tells them something or they hear some campaign commercial and vote on that bit of information. Too many voting people don't even know their local Senator or Congressperson and yet they voted for them.

Such a pity!

I know some things i would LIKE to vote for...
unfortunately, none of them are on any ticket, or agenda, or media..
I know some things that ought be in a candidates agenda ...
unfortunately, the media opinion-ates other issues...
I know some malfunctioning governmental issues that should be addressed...
unfortunately, addressing them gets a bit complicated because flaws have been incorporated, rather than resolved..
I know what ever is associated with a candidate, is his opponents opportunity to debate..
unfortunately, opponents are inclined to slander, discredit, distract, minimize and / or criticize rather than capitulate or acknowledge..
I know that.............. ..>>

I'm registered as an 'Independent' voter--and do vote for the people and issues which I feel would help our country--not for a party.
