Politics & Government - 1 March 2007

I'm curious. I know that many of us have our favorite party and favorite cadidate. But, let's pretend that the unthinkable happens and your party loses the election. Who on the other side (even if they aren't running) would you be comfortable with?

Some examples:

A republican named Sally might say that Obama and Hillary make her uncomfortable, but that Al Gore would be ok with her.

A democrat named Jake might say that Romney and McCain make him uncomfortable, but Guliani would be ok with him.

(And if your answer is "none" then don't bother answering this question and I'd recommend keeping a more open mind in the future.)

Police Academy?

I'm 40 year old ItaloAmerican
my friends and who know me they believe
I should become a Police officer but I don't believe
I can make cause my skill in the English language.

now everybody around me they believe my English is just fine
I already have a good experience in Law Enforcement
how hard is the Police Academy?

Why does America spend more money on welfare than maintaining its Nuclear Arsenal?

It just doesn't make sense...we're putting American lives at risk for the sake of handing out money to people too lazy to work, or not even legally in the USA. We just may not have enough warheads to totally obliterate the enemy and all their partners in the axis of evil.

besides health issues whats a reason that a state would want to pass a bill banning smoking in public places?

this is a paper and i have to persuade a city council to pass a bill agasint smokin in public places so far i have bad health for others which can lead to the government having to payin for money for health care reasons. all the help would be great

Mexico taking back our stolen territories?

Have you seen those 30 million immigrants, well we are going to take back what is from mexico to mexico, so california, arizona, new mexico and texas are going to be inside mexico again..., what do you think about it..???, and well when you try to take those actions back you will just feel what we felt when your people started to come to texas and later kept it...., by the way if you try to kick immigrants out you will get an economic collapse

why did ebay who is suppose to keep my bding id secret let it out so i got scamed?

i was biding on and item on ebay i lost the item then later another supposed ebay member contacted me with a deal to but the same item but what was suppose to be a square deal they had went thru ebay square deal and it looked legetimate but come to find out its been two weeks and nothing noword as the tracking number when it was to be shipped or anything then when i emailed ebay no response from them either yet im out the money and ebay says nothing so whos the bigger crooks they suspended me for not sending the money yet i have sent it and no item and i even have receipts showing they were sent with western union and other receipts its no wonder ebay is losing stock on the stock market exchange

WIll I be responsible for back rent?

3 years ago, the landlord bought this place, which I share with a room mate. He signed everything, all the bills are in his name. Now, we are being evicted (failure to pay rent) I have paid some bills and back rent in cash or MO. if and when we get evicted will I be held responsible for all the back rent? My name is no where on paper, but the landlord knows I live here. It is a year lease. A quit to pay rent eviction. The landlord wrote my name on eviction notice but again I did not sign a thing. Thank you.

I don't believe 911 was an inside job but I do have a question about the buildings?

There have been theorys that the buildings could not have fallen that fast unless there were bombs already in the building. Is that true? I don't think the government planned this but if they did why?

Harrassing through text?

What can you possibly do if someone continues to text message your phone when you've told them it's done and over with, the problem they're texting about? You can't bring cops into it because you can manipulate texts for dishonesty and all that and teachers and parents can't do much besides tell them to stop so what's the supreme way to stop it? Can you block text messages from certain people?
