He's 45 years old. He has been in the U.S. Senate for 2 years. He was in the Illinois legislative for a few more than than. Does the radical left wing really think Barack Hussein Obama can win in 2008 if nominated?

See that's exactly it he hasn't been in the system long enough to be as corrupt AS the rest of the runnings from both sides. He comes from the Midwest which is a plus.
Time will tell if he can or can not take the white house. However be it as President or as Vice President the man will be running post primaries.

Obama is experienced enough to run for President. It's possible for him to become President, but he's got a tough uphill battle to win nomination in his own party. Hillary has the large political muscle that her and more importantly, Bill Clinton wield. John Edwards has the well-spoken, good-looking guy image going for him as well, (plus he's white). However, Hillary does have Bill's Lewinsky's smell around her as well as her support for the Iraq war. John may get tied again to John Kerry who's been slipping in popularity over the last eight months. If Barack Obama were to win, he would be good President but only if he is committed (i.e. his marriage and parenting could suffer).

Even though the US Presidency is argubly the most important political position in the world, the President does not have to have a wealth of experience that allows him (and maybe one day her) to govern an entire country. He has a Cabinet as well as other high ranking supporters aiding him in his decision process. I am always amazed that when people talk about Barack Obama, his "lack of experience" is seen as a negative. To be President, one only needs to be intelligent, thoughtful, decisive and committed. If I am a manager for Apple looking for someone to program the new I-Pod/Cell phone, I would want to hire someone with experience. But politics is open enough to have a President who is a peanut farmer, an actor, a lawyer, or a businessman.

When Newt Gingrich (last I checked not a liberal) was asked on Meet the Press if he thought Barack Obama was qualified to be President of the United States his response was, "Well, Abraham Lincoln served two years in the U.S. House, and seemed to do all right."

Who says you must have lots of political experience to win the Presidency? Eisenhower didn't; but he won twice.

Compared to some other candidates, Obama is well qualified.

H. Ross Peroit had zero political experience but he still pulled in double digets in the 1992 election.

What are Ralph Nader's qualifications?

I believe that the Democrats/liberals believe that anyone can pull of the 2008 election because Americans are overall upset with the war. They forget that there are other issues such as the economy.

It is not that he is a great candidate, just that he is a candidate. Their only other strong person is Hillary and she is not a strong one for a win. People either hate or love her, you are hard pressed to find someone in the gray area regarding her.

In addition, she does not have the personality that Obama has. He is charismatic and you know a lot of Americans do not vote on the issues, they vote on how they perceive the person (or what celebrity endorses them).

Personally, I feel he would be great as a VP... I could totally vote an Edward's/ Obama ticket....

He is very charismatic.. he is young..... he everything that is needed to be a great man in office.. and he dosen't, as of yet, owe anyone anything... When you have a carrer politician running for the presidency or in the VP slot.. they have already made promises to someone at some time.. and it may come up and bite them square in the rear... I think Obama has a chance as a VP... but I don't think he would be elected Pres.. simply because he dosen't a BIG enough name yet... give him another term in the senate.. not only could he run for pres.. but I would bet he would win!

If Obama became not Black he may well be seen as an stunning President because of the fact he has performed an stunning style of excellent issues. White u.s.'s deep hatred of that epidermis coloration is cheating Barrack Obama from getting the credit he so richly merits.

I’M certain that he’s more qualified then even our current president. At least, he can explain what an OBGYN is, and not explain them as people who are "sharing their love for woman"… LOL give me a break, if President Bush can do it, everyone above the age of 7 should be given a shot.
