From legalizing torture, to invading foreign countries, and one of the highest death penalty rates in the world, I wonder how some people reconcile their so-called Christian beliefs with American foreign policy and its government.

I have two questions. 1. How is the Supreme court insulated from public opinion? 2. How does it make sure its not too insulated from public opinion?

-I already have points on dual federalism, 'necessary and proper clause' and taxation, but I wanted to get more feedback on those questions! Thanks.

I will soon be testing for numerous Police Departments and I have some concerns regarding the background investigation. I have no felonies, no misdemeanors, one infraction from over a decade ago, and a couple of traffic tickets the last one being back in 2002. The problem is that back in my early twenties I used drugs on a regular basis. I have never used heroin or cocaine, but I did use meth and marijuana. I have not taken any type of illegal substance in almost ten years. For the past 6 years I have been employed as an EMT in a 911 setting, volunteered as a mentor to kids going through foster placement, and have graduated from college. I feel that I have done everything in my power to become a better person and a good candidate for employment as a police officer. The drug issue is really bothering me though. Do I have a chance? I know that this is a frequently asked question. Any feedback would be GREATLY appreciated.

The senator in Florida wants to eliminate the term illegal alien from the language of the state. Alien is a person from another state or nation. Illegal immigrants are not a part of our nation. This idea is crazy.

I had dubai visa and I got it cancelled but there is no stamp in my passport showing that the visa is cancelled. SO where can i get that stamped ( I have also been to UAE embassy, mumbai....but they also dont know) Do anyone of you know whaty can be done, bcoz rt now I am not able to apply for new VISA..

& also is it permissible to courier your passport ? Is there any legal requirement for doing that ???

A close friend of the family got mixed up with drugs and never got off. He stole items from a grocery store and that was why he was put on parole. Just recently he was caught as an assessory to another retail theft. He is in jail now and I don't want to bother his mother with all the legal stuff. Any answers will be appreciated since I see him as a little brother and I couldn't help him stay off the drugs after countly times of different kinds of intervention.
