Not really, one way or another the American people are pretty well supplied with drugs. If you dont think so, take a look at all the bogus adds that run on television, they have more side affects than a cure. By the way, before drugs like cocaine and heroin were legal and prescribed by doctors, the only reason they became illegal was due to the fact, the government did not see as big of a profit as they thought they would, therefore launching a campaign of terror, stating " drugs, are the reason black men are terrifying our white citizens". A statement made by the government in 1918. Look it up its there.

Sure, in the same way that car manufacturing and TV advertising affects citizens.
Every aspect of commerce has some effect. It provides a product or service, or changes the cost of products or services. It doesn't matter whether those are legal or illegal. It's all about commerce.
