You can send your passport by courier to your previous employer in Dubai. I would suggest you to send the pp through any reliable person, presently in Dubai and ask him to contact your former company to do this. Otherwise your company will not follow up properly, will result to get back your passport on time.

The immigration dept will put the cancellation stamp on the same time. Once it has been done you can apply for a new visa. I think the immigration dept has forgotten to stamp it at the time of your visa cancellation.

Try your best, good luck.

It is not illegal to send ppt in courier mail, and there are no legal requirements to do so or not to do so. Hence, you can send it via vourier. The question is you send it to whom? You cannot send it to a department. One of couriers' requirements is that the parcel must be addressed to an individual. Who is this individual in your case? If you have a friend or a relative to rfeceive it and process it fine, otherwise it will not be possible.

Alternatively is to get an official letter from UAE which states that your visa of such and such nature for the period of x y z has been cancelled. Hence, you can take the letter as your effidavit.
