he wants 22,000 more troops because:

1. Thats all we have
2. his presidency is failed, so what does he have to lose?
3. if it does work--which it won't because it is not a military conflict--Bush can say, "I told you my plan would work!"
4. All of the above

the problem with the US is that most think in terms of Republican v. Democrat......sorry folks...do what is right for the US..btw...Bush is in way over his head and we knew that well before his second election...its God's plan.....Let us Pray

1- We have over a million troops in reserve according to the Almanac, where do you get your sources?

2-Failed? How so? Is stopping terror against America bad? How about raising test scores, helping to bring the Dow to new records, freeing millions of Iraqis from Saddam, is that all bad, and 'failure'?

3-How do you say it won't work? It is working, see the link below:

Whiz, can you spell Iran, 22,500 more troops won't do it but what if it was a cover for many more. He has made some troubling moves in the past couple of months if you have been following it. He has sent another carrier group into the Persian gulf, that give him the capability's of striking Tehran. He has ordered the strategic oil reserve doubled, the rhetoric has heated up and they are just now exposing weapons made in Iran are being used for most of our occupation. I just think it is much more serious then one through four. This really could be the spark for W.W.l l l. Now let us prey.

dude there is something wrong with you....or maybe you just been watching too much CNN and CBS.
bush is atleast doing something to claim hegemony in middle east....what are dumb democrats doing about the issue? all they yak is "bring home the troops"....is that going to solve anything?
all dumb democrats want is this war to turn out like their failed Vietnam war so they can easily win few presidential elections. (stay in power for 10 -15 years). .

i think you should get a life. dont correct my spelling, especially of this horrible state. quit BSing around on the internet and actually do something if you care so much. you lazy critics piss me off. i joined the military to stand up for what i believe in, and i would rather be in a bush military than a hilary military any day. so why dont you get off your fat pimply *** and try to get people to sign some bring'em home petition and feel like you have accomplished something for once. let us pray.

if we did what was right for the U.S., we wouldn't have been in Iraq in the first place. Another sign that it is Bush that is not right for the U.S. Ironically, if he would have stayed out of Iraq, the majority of the U.S. wouldn't be thinking that is Presidency is failed.

We can send 250,000 more troops, and it wouldn't do that much good at this point.

We've the lost the war of hearts and minds in Iraq, and support for the war at home is faded.
