The question is concerning why, not how. What are the benefits of its current status? What are the setbacks? Please do not answer with dates and numbers as to "how" it became illegal. Please answer the question as if it were ultimate, and not proximate. I sincerely would like to understand why it is illegal in the United States.

N. Korea is still pledging to dismantel its nuclear program in exchange for aid. They had been recieving regular shipments of food and fuel from S. Korea until last July when they test fired those new missles. Is the North in such a desperate situation that we may see an end to the conflict? And what I find interesting is that Kim Jong Il's name is mentioned no where.

I have failed at everything i have tried, law enforcement, corrections, school and so on and so on. I am running out of options and am very stupid, just wondering if maye there are any easy jobs for a loser like me in the navy something a monky could do. And i don't want to join the marines i'm in my late 20's and don't think i could handle that at this time in my life and i would probably get everybody mad at me for not remembering things like on full metal jacket.

I think history will show us that Bush was one of the greats. I'm sure he'll be remembered alongside George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Ronald Reagan, and a fellow Republican by the name of Abraham Lincoln. While it's impossible for me to list ALL of Bush's accomplishments with such a short amount of space, I'll list a couple of things this great man has done.

1) Bush has reestablished good Christian Values in the White House, and America at large (Lord knows we needed it after the Clinton administration).

2) Bush has made us safe from terrorists through his audacious military efforts in Afghanistan and Iraq.

3) Bush has continuously fought for Middle Class families by cutting taxes. A move that also saved the Economy!

4) Bush has raised educational standards for our kids by starting the "no child left behind" program.

I can go on and on with Bush's accomplishments. There are too many of them to mention because he's one of the best Presidents Ever!!!

If I were to come to America for teaching in a prestigious university (as my Ph D is in a rare speciallization), would I face persecution by the American people and officials due to the fact that I'm a Muslim? Even if were to be free of any links or acquaintances to extremist groups?

What would the probability of being persecuted or arrested for no good reason in the USA? Actually, I've heard many stories of that kind, yet Americans here in Egypt strictly deny that...so who's actually the one telling the truth?

Serious answers please.

When I moved to my apartment, my neighbor screamed at me for having the moving truck park in the "private way" (a sort of a private street). His argument was "this is a private way, we do our own shoveling even!"

Now it has snowed, and the snow turned to ice, and no shoveling to be seen anywhere.

If I slip and break my back, can I sue him? Who is in charge of shoveling the snow?
