People need to change their thinking. Apparently, Mother Theresa once said that she would never attend an anti war rally but if you were having a peace rally, she'd be there. The idea is that it's the law of attraction. You attract what you think about. Spend all your time worrying about bad things and bad things will happen. How many people have one thing happen and then can't believe how it snowballs during their day. It's because they become consumed in thought on the bad thing. Paying too much attention to the things we don't want rather than the things we want.

I'm aware that this answer will have it's critics but then they're just reinforcing what I'm saying. Saying the world is crap or people are screwed up or it's all about power hasn't fixed the problems. Maybe people need to take a different track. It can be for something as simple as finding a parking space next time you go to the supermarket up to helping create a more peaceful planet, and EVERYTHING in between. The world goes through great changes when people on mass start to change the way they think. The way we think when we start our day can decide what sort of day we'll have. You suffer one setback and spend so much effort and time thinking about it and then more bad things start to happen, reinforcing the way you've decided your day will go.

If you want the world to be more peaceful, create peace in your own world.

We don't choose to have war, and that war is in any way 'unavoidable' is a myth. Most people anywhere in the world want peace. In fact, politicians usually have to lie if they want to generate any support for war amongst the population. The lies regarding 'weapons of mass destruction' in Iraq and how they were connected to 9/11 is a perfect example of this. If there is no real threat, normal sane people do not want war. Therefore politicians, who can make money for themselves out of these wars (by investing into the arms industry and so on) tend to invent these threats.

The real problem is not that people are different, which is something we easily can overcome without armed conflicts. The real problem is is that war is big business, it's as simple as that. There are people in this world who promote wars, people within the intelligence community, the arms industry, the oil industry and their lobbyists etc.

The politicians do as they're told, because these corporations pay for their campaigns. In other words, most politicians that you know of are on the payroll of these big corporations, sometimes they're even among the owners of these companies. They work for them, not for the people. And it doesn't matter if they're republicans or democrats, because these big corporations fund both parties, just like they funded both Bush and Kerry, who both were for the war in Iraq.

Never forget that all wars are big business, any war in history was for profit. That is where it originates, that is the source. Just have a look at Halliburton or the Carlyle Group for example. These people make billions over the war in Iraq, and they are also the people that decided to go to war in the first place (Cheney, Bush etc.).

So WE are not the problem, Americans are not the problem, Arabs are not the problem. Corrupt leaders who profit from these wars are the real problem, people like Cheney, Bush, the Iranian president, Ariel Sharon etc. etc. All these war-mongerers are in it for the profits and none of them represent the people of their countries.

If you want answers, always follow the money."Who stands to gain" is a question you should never stop asking.

Support Ron Paul (republican) og Dennis Kucinich (democrat) for president in 2008. These two candidates MUST get through the primaries, so whatever you do: do not support the candidates that the mainstream media want to shove down your throats. Do not support Obama, Hillary Clinton, Juliani, Edwards, McCain or any of these fraudsters. Vote for them, and there will soon be a war against Iran, they will try to make you think that this is necessary. But again, it's all about the money that they can stuff into their own pockets while soldiers are dying for nothing.

Political and Religious differences will always result in conflict. If I can't have my way, I'll force you to see things my way. Some wars are physical, and some wars are mental. Look at the war going on right now between the Democratic and Republican parties...

You answered your question. We can't have peace in the world as long as JUST ONE nation would rather have war.

Because people like me don't care if the babies in Ethiopia starve, or a small group of Indigenous people in some far off country are slaughtered for their land by their own government. I don't care about the whales of the ocean or the tigers in Asia. And if you try to take what's mine for their sake, I'll fight you for it. That's war.

Typical everyday people worldwide do not wish to have war in their own lands. When people blindly follow political leaders, by choice, or, by force, it is the only time war becomes a reality. Vote for peace at the ballot box, vote Democratic.

We cannot have peace, because there are people who want us dead. Even on this site, we cannot have peace. There are always people who want to attack others, like Paul said.
