What does the U.S.A., a couple of hundred years old, have to teach Iraq, thousands of years old about being a country? Why can't Bush use all that money being spent in Iraq to get rid of all the corrupt criminals and murderers out of the United States of America?

Why do smokers think it's okay to toss their cigarette butts out the window when they finish smoking? It's just as bad as throwing any other trash out of your window, isn't it?

Pay NO attention to the nay sayers for they want the wealthy few to retain rule & control or things to remain the same! If you want a more progressive society you have to include more citizens! This structure is extremely exclusive under Fascist Capitalism! You would be reversing the roles making government & business under public LCM rule & control.

So many talk about the war not being about oil because oil has not become cheaper. What most people seem to miss is that the war is about how that oil is sold - in dollars.

Saddam began trading his oil in Euros in 2000 and this was bad news for the US: The US economy is totally dependent on oil being sold in dollars. They left the gold standard for the oil standard in the 1970s. When oil is sold in dollars then other countries have to trade with the US to get dollars to buy oil. As the US prints dollars for next to nothing and uses these dollars to buy goods then they are essentially getting something for nothing.

When oil is traded in Euros (as Saddam did, iran are doing since 2006 and Chavez wants to do) then demand for the dollar decreases. When the demand for the dollar decreases so too does the value. The US dollar is already very weak and there more dollars outside the US than inside. All these dollars will be sold to buy Euros.

This will take a few moments to read.More at the link.FABENS, Texas - The prairie where it all happened is quiet now, but for the occasional Border Patrol vehicle passing by. A sign rests near a muddy ditch, "Stop Illegal Immigration," left behind by protesters who have visited in homage to two ex-agents, imprisoned for shooting a drug smuggler in the backside as he sprinted toward Mexico.

It seems almost unimaginable that one moment in this lonely place ignited the furor that rages still — from the blogosphere to Congress — two years later.

A jury convicted the agents of assault, obstruction of justice and civil rights violations. A federal judge meted out punishment: 12 years for Jose Alonso Compean; 11 for Ignacio "Nacho" Ramos. As the two men surrendered last month, demonstrators took to the streets, clutching U.S. flags and shrieking: "What kind of America do we have?"
