The school has the right. You have to adhere to their rules, and their guidelines. You can't do anything about it, you can write to the school board, but they won't do anything. You can make a protest, but it won't help. The school just doesn't want people to be able to yell out "Ms. Smith's a lesbian!" or something like that.

The splendid courtroom desperate that a university can administration speech and expression at any college backed function, no count number if on campus or no longer. This determination got here down this spring and in contact a case in Juneau, Alaska. A scholar held up a banner saying "Bong Hits for Jesus" accross the line from Juneau-Douglas severe college through fact the Olympic Torch grow to be carried via. The courts ruled that through fact the college had backed the torch experience and enable young ones out to attend it, it grow to be a university function. the scholar grow to be suspended and had to attend particular training to graduate. He sued the college to have the suspension removed from his checklist. the scholar, grow to be no longer on college assets and had no longer attended college that day, however the courts mentioned he grow to be performing as area of a university experience. This grow to be a terrible determination for civil rights interior the experience that theoretically any college ditrict scholar who held up an illustration oppossing college coverage ("Bong Hits" - i.e. drug use) even outdoors of the district, would have been punished. because it grow to be the scholar, who grow to be off college assets, grow to be assaulted while the belief ripped the sign from the scholars' arms. In a helping case, the decrease courts ruled that an off campus combat, concerning pupils, would be seen a university correct violent act and the scholars (no count number if struggling with or watching) could have the college take punitive action against them. i'm a republican via maximum bills yet we choose some ACLU style action right here earlier we unfastened all of our rights.

Generally, schools and curriculum-based school activities are not public forums. Thus, speech in schools may be reasonably regulated.
You are definitely in America, and clearly taking your opportunity to become educated for granted. A better use of your time would be to pay more attention in English class (grammar, spelling, etc) before you worry about your First Amendment Rights.

When you're a minor, most constitutional rights don't apply. The school system can make any rules and they override whatever rights you have.
If you're going to demand First Amendment rights, it would be an excellent idea to express yourself in the best way possible - learn how to spell, punctuate and construct grammatically correct sentences instead of just mindless ranting! Spend your time in school learning instead of complaining!

How old are you is the question. If you are of voting age then they have no right and should be fought by any legal means at your disposal. If you are too young to vote then you need to find an advocate that will assist you as you have no rights until you are of age.

You have to explain, first, what what it is specifically that they are taking away. What did you do to "be silenced?" Because there are always exceptions to every rule.

You can say whatever it is that you want to say, wherever you want to say it.
That does not mean that you should not use discretion when doing it.
Use your head.
"Far worser?" What do they teach you in that school?
