sometimes the leaders of a country have no other choice but to go to war when dealing with dictators such as Hitler + Saddam Hussein, as people like them are usually too stubborn in their beliefs to listen to diplomacy, no matter how hard you try to make them listen.

Short answer: No.
Long answer: The preferred method for resolving disputes between nations is diplomacy. Just as most legal disputes are resolved without going to court, most international disputes are resolved without going to war. However, every so often someone insists on the Awful Alternative.
International law? Useless without an enforcer, and that enforcer, whoever it may be, must in the end go to war.
Economic sanctions? Just another form of war, and a particularly cruel and cowardly form of it, since it hurts the people of a nation far more than the leaders of it.
So no, we can't do without war. War or the threat of it is what makes the leaders of nations pay attention to diplomats.

First of all.... I would likely to say that I do not like war either and I do agree with your opinion too. :)
Secondly..... War exist when the solution is hidden. To find the answer is to have wars. When wars happens, all the real issues creates the problem or factors, appear. Every problem has a solution. Solution comes from the issues that creates problem or the factors. And so, we must have wars when we face a problem with an unidentified solution. Usually its a really really really big problem.
Lastly..... War is the last after the least way to find solution of a simple problem.

The reason there are wars is simple. God said that there would be and since God knows the condition of man's heart is greed, selfishness, and lust, what else is there but to fight those weaker around you. You climb higher when you're standing on top of someone else, then their defeat is your gain, because of your greed to take the spoils of war and prosper, be it their women, gold, diamonds or land. You kill to keep secrets from being exposed. If I know that you did something and I helped you, if the heat is turned up around me I may tell and implicate you thus Sadaam had to die and Bush needed a diversion from his own political foolishness, avenging the wrong he felt was done to his father and the list goes on and on and on......

Because war works
It is a proven means of conflict resolution
Sometimes all those bad things "death, destruction, chaos..." occur because of reluctance to fight a war. This is known as appeasment.

While war is sensseless it is sometimes necessary. Hitler comes to mind. He wanted to control the world and it didn't look like he was just going to roll over and play dead. He took over entire countries. Do you mean to tell me that a war wasn't worth Hitler becoming supreme ruler? Somethings are worth more. It's too bad that you don't see past the end of your nose. Not only can you defend your way of life, it creates population control.

Mankind doesn't have to result to war, but when you have politicians and governments that have their own agenda, and will not listen to reason, war is often the road they choose to take over reason. War is always economic, involving who has what, and who wants what the country has. It is a shame our leader act out their own agenda's and refuse to listen to the voice of reason.

Jesus Christ sez - "There will always be wars".
Evidently He realized that the Republican mind set was part of the human make up so that good people could be Democrats!
