During his press conference last week, Bush said "money trumps peace."

Isn't that what this war is really all about?

i don't get. Bush's approval rate is 34%, that is so embarrasing for a president, their party is going dow flames. We liberals gave a little bit of diginity left, yet they still try to bash us?

don't they have manners or dignity left? or did they realize that since they are just about done, might as well just go all out?

They are anti-tort reform, pro-unions (unions have their purpose, but it is not to hurt companies), and for higher taxes!

Reid denied the Republicans any chance at amending the resolution denouncing the troop build up, but then accused the GOP of being obstructionists for not voting for the blantantly partisan legislation.

Is he truly that delusional or is he just off his meds?

The pot calls the kettle black
"Once again, we face similar challenges in efforts to confront the rising threat of a new type of fascism... It seems that in some quarters, there is more of a focus on dividing our country than acting with unity against the gathering threats."
Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld

Fourteen common threads of fascist regimes:
Powerful and Continuing Nationalism
Fascist regimes tend to make constant use of patriotic mottos, slogans, symbols, songs, and other paraphernalia. Flags are seen everywhere, as are flag symbols on clothing and in public displays.

Disdain for the Recognition of Human Rights
Because of fear of enemies and the need for security, the people in fascist regimes are persuaded that human rights can be ignored in certain cases because of “need.” The people tend to look the other way or even approve of torture, summary executions, assassinations, long incarcerations of prisoners, etc.

Tort reform is a civil law reform movement to stop frivolous lawsuits. For example, one person may have one bad experience from a company, and then the person would then sue the company for everything they've got claiming they have some noble cause, putting the company out of business and putting people out of work.

The debate over tort reform came when the Avian Bird Flu pandemic came on the scene. Republicans supported tort reform because it would protect drug companies that manufacture medicine for Avian Bird Flu from frivolous lawsuits. But I can't imagine why Democrats would want to oppose it. It is becoming clear to me, however, that the left tends to side with lawyers, and lawyers tend to vote for the left.

Most people are in the dark about the issue because of the supposed liberal controlled media, I mean, think about it, it's never on the news!

Bush-hating conspiracy theorists need not answer.

I tried vital statistics department in my state and they stated that they could not release it to me. Myself and my mother are my cousin's only living blood relatives. My cousin's spouse is living, however we think that, that person is the reason the cause of death was ruled suspicious. The death was in 1999 and was caused by a firearm.
