"I think one way for us to end up being viewed as the ugly American is for us to go around the world saying, "We do it this way. So should you."

"I think the United States must be humble and must be proud and confident of our values, but humble in how we treat nations that are figuring out how to chart their own course."

I mean, he did say sell all you have and give it to the poor, he did say to giveyour cloak also when someone asks for your coat. In fact, tin the book of acts, it says that all the Christians sold all they had and divided it among each other, as they had needs.

I guess this question somehow offended the leftists yesterday, as it was deleted. No problem though. I can repost it as often as it is deleted.

Fox News has never exhibited a hint of a bias in an actual news broadcast. If you feel this is incorrect, by all means, let us know.

The problem lies in that the kleft apparently can't tell the difference between news and commentary. Bill O'Reilly is not a newscaster, and has never purported to be.

No one who works for a living should have to live in Poverty!!!! An honest days pay for an honest days work is not much to expect from Employers!!!! To not do so is to keep them in perpetual Poverty!!! It' short of immoral not to do so!!!If they want to improve the lives of people working for poverty level wages then they will have to pay above poverty level wages!!! You cannot enrich others without enriching yourself!!! Pay them a fair and equitable wage!!! The value you place on your employees is the value you place on yourself!!! An honest days pay for an honest days work is long overdue by the Government and Employers!!! There are eight(8*)+ million workers working for Poverty level wages in the U.S.

Pres. Putin of Russia has now taken off the diplomatic gloves, Chavez accuses the President of Satanism, The Brits are up in arms for the coverup of the blue on blue killings, They are withdrawing most of their troops in May, The Italians and Spanish will not cooperate any longer, France is on its own tangent and the Middle East is a place of zero American influence.

I've always been a Kubrick fan, so needless to say I've seen FULL METAL JACKET countless times. I finally got around to reading THE SHORT TIMERS, the book which the movie is based on. It was written by Gustav Hasford, who was a Marine war correspondent in Vietnam.

In both the book and the film, the Marines always go by their nicknames (Joker, Rafterman, Animal, 8-Ball, Cowboy, Crazy Earl, The Rock, Mr. Touchdown, Captain January). In the film, there is a scene where Modine's character, talking to a Lieutanant he's just met, addresses himself as "Sergeant Joker".

Was this common in the Marines, or was this just done for the sake of the film and the book?

Bush and his supoporters cast blame on Clinton for all their failures.

Will they follow suit and blame Clinton for weather changes too?

I guess it's to the point of expecting it from the Republicans by now, but why worry?

Afterall the Conservatives crucified Christ, didn't they?
