You should come to Asheville, 30 marked police cars passed me in one half hour around Beaver Lake (a rich neighborhood up the mountain). Of course, downtown where drug dealers are on the streets handing money and drugs to each other right in front of everybody else, there isn't a cop to be seen.

You have absolutely no idea what they were doing, if indeed they were doing what you said, though unfortunately your post is just the sort of stupid comment like I've seen so many on these forums, ignorance is bliss. For you info most speed camera programmes are operated by one person, but sometimes the police operations are organised where cars are pulled over and checked for failing construction and use regulations. Guess what for this type of operation you require several officers, gosh horror!!!! It happens several times year on a road not far from where I live. I think it's a great idea as all sorts of things are found from drivers with no insurance or mot's, faults with cars etc.. So don't comment on something when you haven't a clue what actually going on. Oh it's so easy to sit back in your arm chair and say the Police have done this or the police haven't done that.. Yeah yeah whatever matey.

I think you are mistaken to say the least and I cant believe the people who from their answers immediately believe this.Does it ring true that the police would set up their speed trap in a bus stop of all places?

You cant push buttons to make it go up to 85. There is only a trigger that shoots out and sees how fast the vehicle was going. Your Speedometer is probably broken or something.

I believe it's an effective and efficient use of man power.
Speed traps are American as apple pie. Every community should have at least one running at all times.
