jesus was a jew who was completely against the estblishment at the time, he hung out with religious outcasts and a known prostitute, preaching something the men in power didnt want spread around (they felt if you were against them, you were against god, against your country, etc, etc..... sort of like saying "if you dont support the war, you side with the terrorists"), and from what we know of him historically, his skin was lighter than average for his ppl (not a white guy, but not as dark skinned as the average person) he was 6 feet tall (much taller than average), and he used to wander around telling ppl he was an incarnation of god.
and yes, he preached not to value material goods, to give them to those who NEED them, to help all others, to love your enemy, and to turn the other cheek instead of retaliate. its sad, but that philosophy would only work in a world where all people follow it, not just some people.
LOL. "jesus didnt like cheaters and liars"...... those are pretty much the only ppl he ever talked to! he was always around criminals, the poor, the sickly, those who'd drunk themselves stupid. and he always tried to help them without passing judgment. the only time he actually got angry was when they dishonored the church by gambling in it (bingo anyone?).
now, this is all assuming that the bible is word for word historically accurate, which its not. not even close in fact. but the message remains entirely vaild, and if jesus was anything like the stories at all, thats about as liberal as you can get right there, and honestly, if ANY of us today met that guy, no matter what side of the political coin we're on, we'd call the cops.

The twelve apostles were probably the first Socialist Party. Comrade Jesus was it's most worthy leader and they have inspired mankind ever since.
To each according to his ability according to his need.
And the neo-cons can go to . . . No I'm to tolerant to suggest that.

If you noticed, he said people need to give to the poor. He did NOT say to take money from the rich to give to the poor.
Sounds like you are confusing Jesus Christ with Robin Hood.

Whoa buddy! Jesus never commanded ALL of us to give our crap to the poor! He commanded the one guy who asked him how to get to heaven to give all his goods to the poor! And even then, he was using a figure of speech to make a reference: it would be BETTER if you give all your goods to the poor than if you let your riches become your personal GOD. BUT BY NO MEANS DID JESUS COMMAND US TO GIVE OUR CRAP TO THE POOR!!! That would conflict with the verse in 2nd Thessalonians and the many Proverbs that say "if a man does not WORK, he shall not SUCCEED."
Why should we give our money to the lazy and shiftless?
And as for gays, check out Romans chapter 1 and get back to me!

i'm laughing my *** off at the guy who answered "jesus was in support of abortion, blah blah blah....."
jesus never said "force your religion on everyone else", and if someone put up a torah or quran in your government offices, most americans would be PISSED.
if you get mad because someone says "happy holidays", youre a complete retard. guess what, christmas is followed by NEW YEARS, thast TWO HOLIDAYS. see how that works out?
guess who pays the biggest taxes in the USA percentage-wise? the people with the LEAST MONEY. the ppl with more money than anyone needs get the biggest breaks.
jesus said treat others as you'd want to be treated... so, what if i felt you didnt deserve to get married to a person you love? for generations marriage was FORCED on people that didnt love each other for land and power, that was all led by white christians by the way. so when people talk about the sanctity of marriage... please.... straight people can get married dressed up as elvis in a Vegas drive thru, but gays who love each other cant see each other in the hospital? if jesus was here, he'd be PISSED.
and to the best of my knowledge, medical care and abortion werent big in Jesus day, but i think he said something about not judging others unless you're going to be judged? loving your neighbor as you'd want to be loved? turning the other cheek? love your enemy? love all of humanity no matter how they might harm because we're all god's children?
how can you listen to your christian beliefs if you're going to war and killing others, denying others rights you claim for yourself? judging other people's beliefs to be wrong is a sin in the bible.
and last up, the USA is a land that states all men are created equal, so religion aside, why do women make less money at the same jobs as men? why cant gays get married? why is one religion's holiday's observed nationally and not others? why do people want to put one religions commanments up and not others?
i'm not pro abortion, i'm pro-"i should stay out of other peoples lives".

i have no information on it, yet i imagine this is secure to say that the final public of those who're atheist or who mock God and Jesus are LIBERAL. Do i imagine that Jesus might want to label himself conservative or liberal... not in any respect. yet what you wrote basically shows how regularly the libs are twisted. "advocating for the adverse" i imagine there are both libs and conservatives who care about the adverse. "training that children opt to correctly cared for (no longer stripped of their lunches and training)" i do not imagine that JEsus might want to be for abortion. Nor might want to he be for going to kindergarden training practice 5 year olds a thanks to positioned a condom on a banana. "advocating peace and condemning warfare" Do you truly trust that peace might want to be made with terrorists? might want to peace were made with Hitler or Stalin? you say Libs propose peace..... their theory of advocating peace is letting risky murderers and rapists out of penal complicated "to rehabilate them". what number more effective human beings have died as a outcome of this liberal coverage? the commonplace public truly has to change into conscious that liberals are not what they say they're. "declaring that the wealthy received't make it to heaven quite of advocating greed" opposite to what the libs say, the Republican social gathering isn't the social gathering for the wealthy. Are there wealthy human beings interior the Republican social gathering, particular. in spite of the undeniable fact that the Democrat social gathering and libs are finished of different wealthiest human beings interior the international. bill Gates? The leisure marketplace is stuffed with wealthy liberals, you already know actors, porn stars, musicians....

Poor Jesus, everyone spins him to mean what they want him to mean.
It appears from his teachings that he was just a humble Buddhist teacher.

The liberals took it to the worst extreme and the conservatives took it to a whole new meaning.
In Acts they didn't steal the money for their own devices and only GIVE a small portion of what they got back

Not to mention the fact that Jesus told us to love one another like you love yourself, and God above all. Yet the neo-cons spread a message of hate against e.g. gay people. Weird.
