Hi,
A friend of mine just told me that the classic fighter jet used by the US Navy, the F-14 Tom Cat was retired in 2006? Really, I just can't believe him. Is that really true?
Any fighter pilots out there? Can anyone please tell me why the greatest of them all, the F-14 Tom Cat is off service? What were it's problems or drawbacks?

I've read a lot about the items that can be retained by female recruits but the list is different in each Navy website and DEP guide.

These links say that I can bring
6 white cotton full cup bras (including 1 sports bra)
http://www.military.com/Recruiting/Content/0,13898,rec_step09_bootcamp_bring,,00.html#nav
http://www.cnrc.navy.mil/DEP/sifr.htm

While this page says that I can bring
6 white sports bras and 2 white full cup bras
http://www.nstc.navy.mil/rtcgl/recruits/bring.html

I know that these items can be purchased at PX store but I want to wear the brand of bra I'm more comfortable wearing. I just want to know if I should bring more sports bras and just 1 full cup size bra, or is it vice versa?

I don't have any courage to ask this question to the male recruiters in the office :)

I'm going to boot camp on Feb. 13 ^_^

It's like a forest fire. A forest fire can have natural causes, such as
lightning. Or the fire can be caused by someone throwing a cigarette out the window of their car.
Historical global warmings, and the ice ages, were caused by natural imbalances in the carbon cycle, etc. such as volcanoes, etc., but the predominant concensus among the world's scientist is that this one is caused by our use of fossil fuels.

In this a good analogy? Does this help anyone understand why there have been global warmings without the influence of man?

The definition of a terrorist is someone who uses extreme violence to promote and further their own ideology - religious or political.
Iraq was not an immediate or direct threat to the security of the United Kingdom or the United States.
President Bush admited that he wanted 'regime change'. Tony Blair said that Iraq was a threat to international stability (in other words he wanted regime change).
Tony Blair and George Bush used Iraq's weapons of mass destruction as an excuse to invade Iraq. But there were none. The leaders knew that the evidence for the WMD's was not reliable.
So the question is, did the two leaders invade Iraq to promote their own political ideology? If the answer to this is yes, then surely they have to be terrorists, dont they?

I'm trying to find out why there's so much hype about PETA. I'm having an inner tug-o-war over what I hear verses what I see the organization accomplishing on behalf of animals. There seems to be a stigma attached and I'm looking for answers as to why. Is it the radicals that claim to represent PETA or is it PETA as a whole organization?

Yesterday this cabbie found 30 diamond rings in his cab and returned it. And I've seen a police show where they dropped a wallet and arrested anyone who kept it. And some guy found a ring on the McDonalds counter and they tracked him down and arrested him using the video cameras. Where's the criminal act, where's the deception, where's the justice, where's the harm if it's your own fault for losing it?

I'm a big supporter of the State.. but here's a story that has me wondering if sometimes the Feds don't need to intervene... I tried writing it out.. twice.. and it never posted my questions (I let both stand for 15 minutes) so I guess you'll have to read it.. so I went and found a link.. does this sound like justice to you?

I say it is the US. It costs $10,000 to file the papers and stuff. Then you could still get denied anyway. No wonder so many people are forced to come illegally.

I know Jefferson wanted us to have "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness", but we kinda destroyed that when we are murdering our children in the womb.

I know we had the Roe v Wade travesty, but where did they get their basis for that?

Where does it say "it is OK to kill your child, as long as it isn't very big"? Just curious.
