The Controlled Substances Act of 1973.

It created the "War on Drugs," which has destroyed more lives than the drugs ever could, caused a militarizatuion of police, and cost trillions that could be used in a positive manner.

I'd change the laws that REQUIRE one to have health insurance to be seen in a clinic, or be turned away. There are many good-intentioned citizens that don't have insurance provided by their workplace, that would gladly pay cash for the service, or a sent bill. Its not that these people won't pay the bills, it's the matter that the business known as health care won't accept money unless it's being backed up by insurance. Ridiculous. They shouldn't be sent to emergency rooms to be charged twice as much for something that could have been handled by a general practitioner. Whatever happened to clinics accepting payments? I guess we can blame Clinton for the HMO's that control the big business.

Along those lines, I would also change the laws to where health matters fall back into the hands of medical professionals, and not bean counters. Since when does some HMO accountant decide whether I should see a specialist?

I don't want to see a socialized system by any means, but man could it use a serious overhaul.

Well if we ever going to become one united world we should change the immigration laws and open the borders just like Europeans did. That is the only way to become a citizen of the planet hearth. How do you expect to rule the world and still be hidden in your old ways of Hypocrisy and deception.

I'd change the 1930's Supreme court judgement which gave Congress carte blanche to create laws for just about everything with the lame excuse of the Commerce Clause - versus the strictly established roles which were established for Congress in the Constitution. This would wipe over 90% of the federal code off the books, and return most power where it belongs - to the states, localities, and the people. Our overall tax burden would plummet as bureaucracies evaporated.

I would change the election law(s) and make all federal and state elections publicly funded to remove much of the corruption out of the process.

I'd have congress take back it's duty to be the only branch that can decide whether war is justifiable or not - and strip the abrogated right of the president to do so.

"The executive has no right, in any case, to decide the question, whether there is or is not cause for declaring war." - James Madison

The 14Th Amendment which gives citizenship to anyone born within our boarders, whether here legally or not.

This only fosters illegal immigration.

I would want to see the 16th amendment scraped!
Taxes on personal income, should not be used by politicians to buy votes and redistribute wealth through feel good social programs.
