Because they always underrated him. He's a better debater than they think. He's smarter than they give him credit for. They're still underrated him and insulting him though they lost to him.

Bush was only in 2 elections for starters...

The first one was actually won by Al Gore who legitimately won the votes in Florida. However Bush had family as governor of Florida who blurted to Fox News that Bush won (before the votes were fully tallied) which created a huge controversy when the results really came in. There were recounts demanded and so on.

Bush became president ONLY because of the Supreme Court decision in Bush v. Gore 531 U.S. 98 (2000) where the 5 conservative justices voted for Bush and the 4 liberal voted for Gore. Read up on the case for more.

The second election he won by appealing to the fundamentalist christians by promising to ban gay marriage. 3.5 million people who didn't vote last time came out in support of the gay marriage ban and voted for Bush.

EDIT: "PS Funny how there was electoral farud alleged to explain his wins, but NONE alleged last fall."

Not funny at all to someone who knows how it actually works. Electroral fraud is very, very rarely done on the congressional level. The parties don't have the kind of money or resources to participate in fraud or shady tactics for each congressman or senator. You'll also note there was no fraud allegations the previous 3 times when the republicans held on to their congressional majority.

FOUR elections??? - I think you mean TWO (the 2000 presidential election and the 2004 election). And in point of fact, he didn't actually win either one - instead, he cheated his way into office (in 2000, he got the Supreme Court to prevent all the votes from being counted; in 2004, his buddies got peoples' votes taken off the record on the bogus claim that they were 'felons'. Bush has never won a FAIR election...

Yep, but look who they put up against him. Gore? Even Clinton didn't like him enough to campaign for him. He's spent more time with both Bushes then he ever did with Gore during that campaign. And Kerry?! I mean what needs to be said about that idiot jerk that hasn't been said already? I don't care how much money they spent or all the nasty things they made up about Bush, only his mother--and Teresa if she came off her pedestal long enough to become a citizen and register--would vote for that guy.

He got political appointees (to the Supreme Court) to help him steal the election for pres. Texas?? Well, who can account for what Texans do?

A lot of people who do not support Bush supported him then. Including the majority of the GOP, who now are distancing themselves from him.

Your post is exactly three months and one day too late.

I supported Bush, but he is definitely not popular now.

PS Funny how there was electoral farud alleged to explain his wins, but NONE alleged last fall.
