Yea i sign as many petitions that i believe in that i can.I also write and call my congress person to make sure they har what i have to say.Im not sure if sighning online really works,but i know when i call Lieberman,or Dodd,They get my opinion.
Im greatful for the petition site,I become more informed on things the media fail to mention.

I checked it out. Okay I guess. But petitions are dubious because we don't know the total population of the group submitting the petition. So what if a million people want to save the rain forest there may be 7 million who either don't care, are against rain forsts, or unaware of the petition. What guarantee do you have that the person or people the petition is aimed at will actually be seen by that person or their staff? For all you know the people running the petition could be gathering names for an ad campaign or to put together an enemies list.

Personally I would rather give attention to websites for specific causes.
