The facts as I know them. (Please correct me where I'm wrong.)

Two Border Agents attempted to apprehend a drug smuggler enterring the US from Mexico illegally. They shot him in the tush, but he was able to escape back to Mexico. The smuggler raised a stink, and was granted full immunity current and future crimes in exchange for his testimony against the Border Agents. The agents were convicted and sentenced to ten years for covering up the incident because they failed to file paperwork properly. I also heard the Federal prosecutor withheld evidence.

Is this what Bush means when he babbles about homeland security - immunizing drug smugglers to nail Border Agents? Have the agents appealed yet?

I found this statement made by Herman Goering founder of the gestapo at the Nuremburg trials:

"Naturally the common people dont want war:neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany:that is understood. But after all it is the leaders that determine policy and it is a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy,a fascist dictatorship, communism or parliament.Voice or no voice the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That Is Easy.'
"ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED AND DENOUNCE THE PEACEMAKERS FOR LACK OF PATRIOTISM AND EXPOSING THE COUNTRY TO DANGER.IT WORKS THE SAME IN EVERY COUNTRY"

Not much has changed since WW2 has it.

I have become so disgusted with the way imminent war over and above our current middle eastern conflicts that I have begun investigating a way to get OUT of the USA in an effort to save my sons lives. I have three sons who in less than 9 years the oldest will be of age. The way wars go, especially when led by someone who doesn't understand them, we can expect these wars to continue at least that long.
In my investigation of places to move I have run across other information that indicates that there is nowhere to run. The threat it seems is global and it is a result of a severely limited oil supply. The planet earth has very little left. All of the global conflict right now is a result of the lack of oil reserves and that is why we are TAKING Iraq. We MUST have that oil if our way of life is to remain close to what we have now.
That does not make it right by any means, but that is truly the motivation. In fact, it is so bad, the oil supply that is, that I wonder if profit plays as big a part in 9/11 and everything since. It appears possible that 9/11 was simply a very poor choice of criminal acts designed to press us forth to acquire the middle eastern oil fields that we MUST have to continue our way of life. Again, that does not make 9/11 right or inexcusable by any means.
There is plenty of information on the net and I will not site any specific examples. Find it for yourself if you care to. You can try YouTube and Google video for the easy information. You will find plenty.
Anyway, are you aware of Oil's role in all of this? And fyi, even though I am fearful of war involving my children, their involvement, it possibly appears, could be less than terrorism if what I am now discovering has any truth to it. And that makes moving out of the USA something that we as a family would never do. We are Americans. We love our country and though it may seem like I am personally grasping for straws for a reason to trust this government (and maybe I am,) Oil's role in all of this may be more profound than our wildest imaginations could muster? What is your take on all of this?

In today's courtrooms, issues are brought up that many jurors admit they don't understand. Forensics, especially, has become very sophisticated and complex. Lack of knowledge and understanding on the juror's part could potentially be the difference in life or death for a person. Jurors are just folks like you and me, and I know I might be intimidated by a trial and all the details if I was asked to serve. Do you think there should be professional jurors as opposed to lay people? Professionals could be trained in all aspects of forensics, the science of DNA, psychology, human behavior, etc.

So, I was finishing a school project on my mom's laptop. I mistakenly opened a Word document entitled "You," instead of my homework, which was similarly titled.

"You" was an angry letter from my mom to my dad. It accused him of various shortcomings that I didn't know existed, including of him being alcoholic. As far as I know, he barely drinks at all.

She was either extremely angry or under PMS. The latter seems unlikely, considering she's 54 and post-menopausal.

I blew "You" away, eradicating it and even running a search for duplicates, before covering my tracks. There were none, but I can't rule out hard copies. It will NEVER see the light of day.

Should I have deleted it?

He's losing political ground day by day, and Iranian people are already wary about the possibility of a US invasion. Why not use the people's power (with a little help from the CIA) to put things right in Iran.

Or is it necessary to use the US military might?

The instruction on an escrow trust asked the notary to complete an attestation clause. I'm a California notary and I'm not familiar with that type of notarization. Is it the same as an acknowledgment? The wordings on that "attestation" is different from the state required acknowledgment wordings.
