After all, this is the United States of America! We may not like what the other side has to say, but that's no reason to say that the other side should be killed. That sort of thinking is for totalitarian regimes, not democracies.

My question is more rhetorical than anything else. Why should pot be illegal? This is supposed to be the land of the free, but I'm only allowed to smoke tobacco and NOT marijuana? It's absolutely ridiculous. Your thoughts?

Firstly this is a question and thats all it is. No bad mouthing because we are allies and all that, think of it as sibling rivalry if you must.

Right i hear alot about the USMC ( US Marine Corps ) being an amazing forve and almost all Americans think they are there best soldiers if you dont include Special Forces. Now my question is do you believe they are capable of something no military force has done for 1000 years and launch a successful invasion of the British Isles? I mean Britain could be turned into a fortress in a very short space of time. Britain would also have the advantage of Royal airforce having less distance to travel in order to re-arm itself after dropping its payload in an attack on the US navy and its aircraft carriers. Britain could easily keep supple links coming fromthe east as the US would struggle to gain superiority of the seas round there considering many nations share the north sea territory. Are the Marines capable?

One of the requirements to stay here is to be employeed. I live in Tampa Florida and am working a case plan in order to get custidy of my 2 daughters restored. Employment is also a requirement of that. All I know is I'm trying my best but it dosent seem to be good enough lately. Any one have any ideas for me?

Sorry - asked this before but received no answers..

I believe everyone should be entitled to one vote.
However - I don't see why a Professor of Politics at Oxford should have equal say to a 18 year old crack whore from Nottingham.

Therefore I propose that certain positions gain you a second vote - ie a doctorate, professorship, becoming a barrister - all these would automatically grant you a second vote. Meanwhile - in the interests of equality, every person would be entitled to take a short exam to entitle them to the second vote. It would be a basic test of simple british politics, history and geography. If you pass the simple test proving your understanding of how this country works, you get your second vote. The exam could be offered to 6th Form students as standard and also arranged in local libraries/church halls for others who wish to gain their extra vote.

More fair?.... Discuss!

"Scientists from 113 countries issued a landmark report Friday saying they have little doubt global warming is caused by man, and predicting that hotter temperatures and rises in sea level will "continue for centuries" no matter how much humans control their pollution."

Basically the international community has recognized that Al Gore is the bumpkin we knew him to be, but my question is why worry about Global Warming if anything we do will have no effect? Personally I don't believe humans have squat to do with "Global Warming" and this is all just part of normal Earth operation -- but I may have to wait several years for the International Community to finally realize this. I guess realizing there is no point in trying to stop "it" is a start...

4 ex presidents were walking down the yellow brick road, when they came upon the Wizard of Oz's house.

They knocked on the door and the Wizard said, "What do you guys want?"

Carter said "Everyone always said I need courage"
Nixon said "Some people said I need a heart."
Bush said "Some folks have said I need a brain"

The wizard waited and finally ask the fourth man what he wanted.
Clinton said "Hey is Dorthy here?"

Now that there is funny, I don't care who you are.
