Since we are allies, I am sure there is a lot of behind the scenes partnerships between our two countries: sharing of information and technology, there is definately sales of war machines between the two of us. And ultimately, even with our friendships, there is undoubtedly spying going on, which means we both know each other very well. Personally, I think we make a great team. If you ignore the media hype, I believe the majority of UK population stands in concert with the US. I believe it should be that way. We face an immediate threat from Muslim extremists who want to wipe out freedom and democracy. We need to stand up (along with Muslims who do not agree with the extremist agendas) and fight together. We need to put politics aside, we need to put political correctness aside and go fight for our freedom. Peace will come after the excessive use of force, and not until. Will you stand with me, my British Brother?

Ya know lancs lad, over the last couple of centuries, our two country's have frequently done battle, so even though we are distant cousins and now support each other rather than argue and fight, your scenario serves no good purpose.
Great Britain would be a formidable enemy, no matter who they fight. Today, we are true allies that need each other against a new axis power, that of Russia, Iran, Syria, N.Korea, Venezuela, Bolivia, Nicaragua, and perhaps even China. We have additional allies to help counter balance these adversaries, and some are nuclear capable, but are time would be better served by cultivating friends rather than fantasizing about hypothetical wars.

Why do you want to go there? They will not permit you on base unless if you have a "Sponsor" which is a person who is in the Marine Corps and stationed on that base. You may try and contact the local recruiting office to see if they would be willing to let you go on base but I don't think that they would let that happen. It is kept that way for national security reasons and it also adds to the "mystery" of Marine Corps boot camp.

If you bring air power into the equation, GB will fall quickly. The US has more war planes and they can fly longer (around the world). In a land invasion the US will win eventually too because of the sheer numbers. GB has a formidable navy but it is only half the size of the US's. It might take some time, but the US would prevail in a land invasion.

the Marines by themselves...not really...they would need the support of all the American forces...and then..I think they would be able to overwhelm the British Isles....America would quickly gain air superiority, and Sea superiority would follow ....good thing that we are allies

JUST the Marines? I doubt it but I don't know much about military strategy or war planning.
