The two behind the advertising gimic were arrested and are being held in jail for this. These signs had been up for a few weeks and also in mulitple cities.

"The packages in question are magnetic lights that pose no danger," Turner said in a statement. It said the devices have been in place for two to three weeks in 10 cities: Boston, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta, Seattle, Portland, Ore., Austin, Texas, San Francisco and Philadelphia.

I just dont see how and why they are trying to prosecute these guys for this.

"It is outrageous, in a post 9/11 world, that a company would use this type of marketing scheme," Mayor Thomas Menino said Wednesday. "I am prepared to take any and all legal action against Turner Broadcasting and its affiliates for any and all expenses incurred during the response to today's incidents."

It isn't their fault they weren't running around saying the sky is falling.

The West has many enemies that happen to be oil producing countries. We must do much more to wean ourselves from our oil dependency but at the same time be careful not to make human food crops prohibitely expensive. I am referring to the rise in the price of corn creating food protests in Mexico. If there is one thing we need to think hard about is avoiding destabilizing Mexico it would be a mess too close to home to deal with.

So put a 30% tax on every gas guzzler out there for our national security.

I heard the interview and it seemed that he was attempting to be complimentary. It seems to me that in our "policially correct" culture, people will find and interpret another's words according to their own world view. In other words, the folks complaining about Senator Biden's comments are "getting what they look for." And in doing so, it says more about them, than it does about him.

What benefit will the nationalization of utilities in Venezuela including oil give to America? Is nationalization an example for the US to follow? I believe you can nationalize things without becoming overtly Communist or anything. I think nationalization only puts a rope around an economy that's going nuts and in a whole bunch of different directions - like the US economy. Stock market it the highest it's ever been...yet we're still paying out the whazoo for goods that simply are not worth what we pay for them - like gas and milk (two completely separate things - in no way am I comparing the two). Bottom line - is nationalization an example for the United States to follow?

Certainly anti-americanism did not begin in europe and canada in 2003 or even when Bush was elected in 2000, so where did this come from? Even in the 80s and 90s there was a hatred for americans and jews in these countries. Has it gotten worse because of the large muslim immigrants in these countries? If so, why aren't brits and canadians doing anything to counter these dangerous radicals? And why do they let them come into their country in the first place?

My husband was pulled over and arrested about 120ft from our home.(In front of my neighbors home). I happeded to look outside and notice our car pulled over so I walked over and asked the officer if I could take the car to the house. He said no, that he had already asked for a wrecker and that the call could not be cancelled because it was against the law. Is this true. My husband even told him that the house there on the corner was his and if someone could come and get it, he got no answer and a wrecker was called. When the wrecker came, before he ever hooked up to the car I asked if I could pay him for his trouble of coming out and I'd drive the car to the house, he said no. I asked if he could tow it to my house, he said no cause it wasn't in my name only my husbands. So my husband asked him to and he said no because he could lose his license. Is this true? He wouldn't even let me have my house key off my husbands keychain because he could lose his license. We live in Texas.

Gerald Ford become President after Richard Nixon resigned because he was the Vice President. But how did he become the Vice President, and what position did he hold before becoming Vice President?

Bonus question: Who else became Vice President the same way that Ford did?

It really is surprising how many don't know how this works. I will give you one clue: It's in the U.S. Constitution.
