I am a Nurse Aide and I just vollunteered to Respite a man who is bedridden. I was told by the vollunteer leader that I cannot touch any person (no transfer-no touching)
I could be sued and lose my home if they would fall or get hurt.
I said I would not touch them. But is this really a case where I could get sued and lose everything I have worked my life for?

UN is like a wolf in lamb's clothing. Under the pretext of peace, it has a bunch of crooks who can enter third world nations and look for resources that can be swindled. Once it is decided, it will become an administrative office for the war logistics.

I am only asking because of the unfortunate situation that Brandy is facing. In a question that someone asked on here, everyone seemed to respond by saying anyone else would be charged and go to jail, and felt that because Brandy is a celebrity, she is getting special treatment. I really don't feel that way, and really did not think that people being charged with vehicular homicide after an accident was common at all. In fact, I have never heard of this occuring unless it was a DWI, which is not the case in this situation.

I have always hated driving and have always been scared of the idea that I am controling a deadly weapon. The idea that if I make a mistake and kill someone never sits well with me and I drive only when I have to. However, it never crossed my mind that I could end up in jail if I had an accident that was my fault. Does this really happen as often as the people that answered that question suggest.

When I was poor, young, uneducated, and rebellious, many Liberal Democrats would call me "Friend" and seek to include me in all sorts of party politics. When I became educated, upper-middle class, attended church regularly, and suggested that the party never be apologists for self-destructive behavior, many called me a "House N*gger."

When I was poor, young, uneducated, and rebellious, many Conservative Republicans would call me a "Ghetto N*gger" and seek to exclude me from their party politics. When I became educated, upper-middle class, attended church regularly, and suggested that the party never be apologists for self-destructive behavior, they called me "Friend" and offered me employment and positions of influence.

I've sided with the Conservative Republicans because, in the end, they embraced my success and maturation of values. The Liberal Democrats only seemed happy with me when I reminded them of their household pet.

Democracy has been the dream of brilliant thinkers from centuries, starting from Aristotle the Greek philosopher. But it came into reality from 1775 A.D. And now America being the first Democratic Nation and India being the Largest Democracy in the world, it has not been sucessful in leading the nations into peace and progress. Instead it has resulted in domination, spread of violence war and arrogance. And in the Indian context, it is an exploitative and corrupt system of governance. It lacks good leaders. And in practice lacks ethical values and standerds, democratical principles and protection of human rights and dignity. It is a weapon of exploitation in the hands of the natorious politicians, the powerful, the rich, capitalists, criminals and the list may not end. Who is responsible for such status of Democracy in India. Is the system itself or the Indian population is not mature enough to elect and run a democratical government true to its standards. Are there philosohers

Doesn't the amount of gear you wear affect your reaction time, cause 'aches and pains' daily, wear you down hour by hour, slow you down on every step, limit how much ammo and extra weapons a group can carry without backup assistance, and limit your ability to take cover? I am an old timer and did not really like our flak jackets or even those old metal helmets. Although I towed the line when on an operation guiding a major infantry force (because the Gen, Col, Lt Col said it was a direct order and as a lowly 1st LT, Cpt I had to comply), when my guys and I, 6-10 'strong', did our recon patrols we traveled as light as possible. We carried more ammo, usually a LAWs and as many radio bats as a company would have, but not the gas mask, the flak jacket or helmet. They were too heavy and bulky and did not fit well. I hope all that gear saves a few of you and keeps someone from being hurt as badly but I question whether the one prospect of gain offsets the other detracting factors. Good luck!

Starting from ration card to civil administration and education, we have such an outdated system. More than 70% of our efforts go waste in running around from pillar to post.
