I wouldn't advertise around that you are doing it, and defintly don't be getting money for it (or you would defintly be an easy bust), it's not illegeal for them to have it, but yes techinally what you are doing is illegal. Just say you made a copy for back up and decided they needed it more than you did. ;)

Being a soldier my self it does not bother you what you get. It is always fun just to get a package. As far as illegal. I have never seen an one get in trouble for any thing like that. This is my second deployment, so I have seen a bit. There also is many people that are burning and ripping movies and cd's. So I have to say send a way.

The fact that it's a downloaded film that you've burned on DVD is an infringement of copyright laws, and is therefore illegal.

as long as it isn't porn. while technically it is illegal to burn a movie to DVD, you are allowed to make one backup copy for anything that you have legally obtained, either by paying a subscription fee or buying it individually.
