I am a 23 year old muslim women who lives in South Africa, I sometimes feel that the world has the wrong view of Islam & all muslims get blamed for the wrong of a group of people, I donot agree with George Bush's methods & i personally think he is the biggest terriorist in the world but i donot blame thee American people for his evil actions, so why is it that all muslims are blamed for the actions of one group. The rest of us are normal people who want to practice our religion in peace just like the rest of you. Although i am lucky i live in SA where people understand & respect different beliefs , for other muslims in other countries its sad because people dont understand, they just judge Islam by what they see on TV, No one takes time out to research Islam & discover what an amazing religion it is or all the positive things Islam has contributed to the world over centuries. I am not asking for you to reply with hatred, i am asking for an honest civilised & intelligent reply .

Tragically, the Police force today is seen to serve the best interests of political parties, bureaucrats, businessmen and other such entities. For most police personnel, this is a way of survival. The purpose of police in any society is to maintain law and order and ensure public safety. Policing, like teaching and medicine, has a very intimate connection with social life and social change. Yet, the Police are hardly seen in such terms by citizens. At best, there is a sense of cynicism and at worst, even fear of the Police forces. How do we insulate policing from such negative political and bureaucratic interferences to make it fully accountable to law and civil society?

I am disappointed to hear what is being told to young people in certain music genres. They are taught disobeying the law is cool and hip. What's going on?

that they won't give as much medical care? children are getting cared for but the majority of the uncared for are the older generations? Why is that? Older is not expendable? We were all young at one time and if we are not giving values to the young what good is it?

My father in law, an ex salesman, has been diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis and there's a slim chance that it is linked to a cleaning product that he used to sell/demonstrate for a large company that was subsequently bought out. The product is still manufactured under a different name by the new company.

His treating physician wants to examine if there's a link between the chemicals in the product and his condition. What I need is to get a list of the chemical constituents of the product (not the formula obviously). Is anyone aware of a database (COSH or suchlike) that forces new products of this type to be registered?

I do not want to contact the company who manufactures the product now, as even though this may well come to nothing and there may be no link, I dont want to prejudice any subsequent actions should it go that route.

I work at a hotel in the state of Michigan. This past weekend some guests got drunk and rowdy. To make a long story short. They knocked down a vending machine, which in turn hit the wood panel along the pay phone. I called the cops. Officers went to the rooms that I had been having trouble with. Officers told me that the door jam connecting adjoining rooms was busted. Next day owner comes to look at damage. $450. They refuse to pay. Is there a national law or state law (Michigan) that would say what can be done after the fact?

Why don't we in America take global warming more seriously? Why doesn't the international community take it more seriously? It is going to take decades of research and development to find a suitable replacement for fossil fuels, and cost a whole lot of money. Private companies don’t have the desire to commit themselves to seriously pursing this, because right now the technology doesn’t exist to produce an alternative source of energy on a world wide scale that can be supported by consumers. It will take the government to get involved and its going to cost a lot of money. Is there a more justifiable cause to spend our tax dollars on? No! There is not another planet that we can pack up and move to after we’ve screwed this one up too bad.

The Kyoto Protocol is totally inadequate. It puts practically all the financial burden on America, and doesn’t do anything to mandate the two countries that pollute the most, China and India, to take measures that help stop their pollution.

In my opinion Bush is not worthy to carry this title. If any president wants to maintain this title they should be ready to put on the uniform and be ready to go to war themselves.

......So he concluded perhaps the reason the Cromagnon prevailed was because the Nenderthal could not talk. Now, how can that be? Surely he could make sounds. All animals do. And he had a tongue and lips. And a parrot can form words without all the mouth equipment. So what would prevent the Neanderthal from having a language?

In In the Devil's Snare, Mary Beth Norton argues that Salem witchcraft episode of 1692 can only be understood by linking developments in Salem village to the Indian Wars on the Maine frontier. Her examination of a wide range sources leads her to conclude that "the assaults from the visible worlds became closely entwined in New Englanders' minds."

In your view, what do you think are the three most convincing elements in the case she builds? Explain in some detail how each of these pieces of evidence supports the book's thesis.
P.S. > Any help woud be greatly appreciated.THank you everyone

It has been regarded as a popular seize-fire between U.S. Forces and another country's army during Christmas Day. The troops from both sides came together on the woodline and read each other's Christmas mail, exchanged rations, photos of loved ones back home and commenced to do battle the following morning. Please include a source if you have one.

from what i observe it seems they both buy into the domino theory:
most liberals believe limiting the rights of terror detainees would lead to an eventual suspension of the rights of average citizens.
and most conservatives believe legalizing gay marriage would lead to an eventual decline in(their) moral values.
