Good question.
The real reason that war in Iraq and Palestine is going on is because of Israel.
I do not have the space to print all the reasons but the main reason is a religious war like this will never end.
It will end. Israel will prevail.
But that is just my opinion and the Bible"s interpretation
as you believe so shall you receive

Those countries have freedom.
Ask the governments and residents of those, in the case of Iraq a country and in the case of Palestine a UN mandated territory that has never been stable enough to become a country, why they won't stop shooting at themselves and their neighbors long enough to be "free".
I am beyond sick to death of hearing about the poor innocent Palestinian victims. The only thing they are victims of is their own penchant for violence, rather than build their lives and area up and improve their situation they prefer to take their guns and shoot at each other and Israel. Meanwhile the western world for literally decades, flushed money down the Palestinian 'drain' by the millions in aid that went directly into the coffers of the PA's corrupt leaders like Arafat.
When the Palestinian people decide to live in peace with each other and Israel then i think they will deserve both aid and sympathy, till then I no longer care about their self inflicted plight.
As to Iraq the situation is very complicated but no one is subjugating them. Iraq is very much sitting right on the line between self governance and chaotic civil war but the decision of which way to go is entirely theirs. If anything the US and it's allies will probably leave too soon and not give enough aid instead of staying too long and acting as a true conquering power.

First of all, these are two seperate conflicts; but i feel neither is doing anything good. Just a bunch of people getting killed. Every reason we were given to go into Iraq turned out to be a lie. No WMD's, no Saddam/Al Qaeda connection, no yellow cake in nigeria, and we are not being welcomed as liberators. So why are we there? Ask the Bush administration, they're the ones with the real agenda.
Palestine seems to be a fued between Fatah and Islamic jihad on the inside and Israel externally. Quite a strain on such a poor country. The Palestinians were kicked out of Jeruselem and the rest of what is now Israel back in the 1940's by the Jewish settlers. I can certainly understand them wanting to take back properties they have the deeds to. But blowing up innocent civilians is not the road to that end.
In the end, few wars are really necessary. To defend yourself and others is required. But war as an elective is suicide.

I think it is called Palestine and the answer is yes war is necessary. If one part of a neighbourhood is run by thugs who have guns and hold up citizens stealing their money wouldn't you think the police need to clean things up? So it is with people who car bomb other citizens, shoot them from rooftops etc. there are other ways of dealing with problems. As long as the violence in Iraq and Palestine and other countries continues to happen then there will be war there. As soon as people learn to get along and live without killing one another then there will be peace. So the answer is up to the people who live there, it is their decision. What can be said to them that has not already been tried. Until they are all dead and forgotten things probably will continue because they teach new borns to do the same. Life has good things to offer and war is not one of them. Learn to enjoy the good things in life and it becomes sacred. No life ending in death to others will ever be rewarded in an afterlife. This thinking is warped and keeps young people in these regions thinking that their fight for a cause will be rewarded with a better life, how stupid is that? Live a good life now and you will be rewarded in an after life, that I can believe in.
