I believe there are 2 laws that must be passed to correct our oversized, and underproducing govt. 1) term limits to remove career politicans (Kennedy, Boxer, Pelosi, Lott, etc.). And 2) a complete ban on all campaign contributions from any entity other than individual, legal voters - and with that a cap of say $2000/voter. No PAC's, corporations, foreign nations, special interest groups, etc. could give money to campaigns or political parties. As it is, politicians owe their allegiance to those that give the most $$$$ and it is certainly not to We the People. Gov't does it's business based upon who gave the most to their collective campaigns and that is wrong. We the People should be in charge and the gov't should answer only to us. Think about it.

We need a fence(an electric fence)and we need the right to shoot them, but I think that having big guard dog would also help a LOT. Dogs can smell and hear much much better than humans, and they run faster than humans. When an illegal immigrant starts running, send a dog after them and the dog will get 'em. Police dogs are trained to get a person without biting them(at least not much), and the people ARE disobeying the law so we have every right to send a dog after them. What do you people think?

Rendon group , over three hundred million contract to divert news reports from Iraq and Afghanistan, put out disinformation and to protect military and politcal realitys of Iraq and Afghan situations from being known in US.
Before you try and say conspiracy nut look up the Rendon group and what they do and who pays them and then explain or defend their actions.

A slap on the wrist for STEALING files from the National Archives?

Are you kidding me?? Funny that the prosecutor who took him to court now works for Sandy Berger's firm!

What should have been done in your opinion?

And knowing that he took these files, how can we trust what the 9/11 Commision reported as fact about 9/11 when the National Archives doesn't even have a full account of what he stole??

I feel sorry for all of the victim's families who still don't know the truth!

In the court system it seems you are guilty until proven inocent. I say this from expericence with my child. You can go say anything to the courts and charges can be taken, you are locked up until you prove you are innocent of those charges.

Here are some apples to apples comparisons:

Bill Clinton compared to Newt Gingrich & Bob Livingston
Senator Joe Biden compared to Senator Trent Lott
Congressman Gary Studds compared to Congressman Mark Foley.

I'd be interested to know something about the demographics participating on Yahoo Answers. I'm learning a whole lot about where Americans stand on the political situation, but don't know about the sampling of people...if it is indicative. Also, I've seen and experienced alot of ugliness with people slagging one another...in relation to seemingly innocent comments.

Does anyone have any information about the participants in this forum?

My friend's employers who shall for now remain nameless have new owners who have decided to make all in their workplace posts uniform.
Fair enough they are providing the uniform but they've issued an E mail stating that all staff whose hair is longer than collar length will be expected to wear dresses, whilst those with shorter hair suits. They observed that this doesn't constitute sexual discrimination since the rules apply equally to both genders. My friend is the only male employee with long hair(about which the employer has complained). My friend feels that this is an attempt by the employer to obtain his resignation. Is such a dress code unlawful?

91% of the men and women in our voluntary armed services aren't from Conservative Republican families and some of these useless kids from Liberal Democrat families can finally begin fighting for their nation rather than being useless armchair subversives who wouldn't add anything to the world anyway? This way Liberal Democrat parents can cry real tears rather than crocodile tears for our soldiers.

Anyone else getting tired of all this celebrity posturing on this thing? Why don't these people keep their causes to themselves, rather than some self-righteous and condescending mission to lead the hapless flock of bourgeois?

Who is in favour of the plans for Road Pricing in the UK. Every car to be monitored by sattelite and charged for distance driven depending on time of day etc. Presumably also charged for speeding and other offences the sattelite could detect. Is this not just a MASSIVE invasion of our privacy, the gov knowing exactly where we are at ALL times, disguised as green policy. The online petition is now up to 600,000 signatures but the gov insists it will continue with this policy. How scared should we be?

I don't understand why the Presidential election in this country doesn't just get decided by the popular vote instead of relying on the Electoral college.
