91% of the men and women in our voluntary armed services aren't from Conservative Republican families and some of these useless kids from Liberal Democrat families can finally begin fighting for their nation rather than being useless armchair subversives who wouldn't add anything to the world anyway? This way Liberal Democrat parents can cry real tears rather than crocodile tears for our soldiers.

I'm not in favor of a draft. I am in favor of a system of compulsory public service. This could be military, diplomatic, or charitable, but I believe that it should be mandatory that one serve at least a few short years in service to one's fellow mankind.

Bush--and the few supporters he has left--are trying to excuse a failed war and the loss of over 3000 American lives for nothing.
Now--when the Amrican people have made their opposiiton to this war crystal celear--you want to force Amrica's young people to go fight your war for you?
That is wrong. If you can't generate the support among the american people for your war--to bad. Don't try to use coercion to make more cannon fodder. BTW--why aren't YOU in Iraq--instead of trying to force someone else to go?

Last time we had a draft it was the conservatives that were dodging and the liberals went.

No because the volunteers are the real heros, and not the ones forced. Being forced shows that they are weak and depend on others to defend their rights. We do not need that type of military
