Certainly anti-americanism did not begin in europe and canada in 2003 or even when Bush was elected in 2000, so where did this come from? Even in the 80s and 90s there was a hatred for americans and jews in these countries. Has it gotten worse because of the large muslim immigrants in these countries? If so, why aren't brits and canadians doing anything to counter these dangerous radicals? And why do they let them come into their country in the first place?

I am a Jewish American and i have been to canada many times and I know from personal experiences that they are anti-american and anti-semitic. I know what people have said to me and it is a shame that so many people in england and canada refuse to believe that any one of them could possibly be full of hate. wake up and take a look around.

Where have you been for the past 300 years? "Anti-Americanism" or rather Anti-ArrogantBastardism as it should probably be called, has been around for several centuries. It stems from the fact that most of the rest of the world sees the US's positive self-attitude as a form of arrogance and it doesn't sit well with them.

Personally I don't have a problem with Jews (except I think the snippety-snip thing should be illiegal without medical need) and I don't know anyone that does.

As a Canadian, i hate to inform you, but you are full of crap. I'm against your present administration and since what happens in Washington has a strong effect on Ottawa, I feel I can have an opinion on that. As for American people, I have many relatives south of the border and I've liked most Americans I have met. I certainly do not dislike Jewish people either. Now if you have problems, try to remember, in general, People will treat you, the way you treat them. Loose the attitude and come up for a visit, I'm sure you will find I'm right.

First off, they are not anti-semitic! Some of them may be, but there are anti-semitics in the US as well. And they are not all anti-america either! Lately, however, most foreign countries have started hating America because of the war in Iraq. But there's also the fact that American named itself the world police - meaning that they can invade any country they want to create a different government. America has a history of putting its head up its own ***, so can you blame other countries for hating us? But also, after 9/11 all of these countries came together to HELP us! But then we threw that away and screwed up.
in the future, try to avoid generalizations

I'm from Canada and it shames me to think that that kind of thinking exists here. I'm not anti-American. I admire the American people as a whole for their perserverance, strength and ingeniuity. I have friends and relatives in the USA, whom I love. Nor am I anti-Semetic. I've known people of the Jewish faith, and the Islamic faith as well. As for radicals, I think we all need to be vigilant. I'm not against any faith. I'm against terrorism. On Yahoo, news yesterday, a terrorist plot was uncovered and prevented in Britain. It's a horrifying world, but we need to stand with those who treasure freedom and life. We can't afford to be bullied.

Wow, that seems like a big over generalization. How can you possibly say that? I know British people and Canadian people, and I have traveled a lot in both Britain and Canada; they are neither anti-American nor anti-Semitic.

I'm sure that this question sits well with our dual citizens(American/Canadians) and our Canadian people of the Jewish Faith.

Canada's national social ideal is a Multicultural Tapestry. That means that by design Canada wants to include people of all races and creeds including jewish people and americans(who incidentally we really like, and buy most of the things that we make). Even the dumb americans who think that we don't like them. They rarely come up and visit though. .

I am canadian, and resent your question, Iam not anti-semitic, nor have I ever met someone who is. Anti-americanism is for obvious reasons - they inject themselves everywhere, if they disagree with another country they bomb them, poison their crops, etc. In fact, here in redneck alberta, people seem to be prejudiced against muslims and native canadians, but not jews. Maybe get things straight before you go off insulting other people.

did it ever occur to you that it might just be you canadians dislike? you certainly seem to give people good reason. And this is definitely hate-mongering, you should be ashamed of yourself...
