The lack of confidence and arrogance? Less twinkle and smirk? In spite of his rather intelligent support of education, health care and alternative energy, there was less of the smirking George we're used to?

Just wondering if you noticed that?

(I'm quite experienced at public speaking and reading faces. It was rather obvious.)

The police say its a civil matter even though its causing obstruction. The council seems to be beyond the law.

What rights can I research to put common sense back in to the council who insists its normal to obstruct a private house's driveway entrance.

Lighting column is 2 foot into the area imbetween the driveway gateposts... with a set of traffic lights in the street at the front of the house and theres double yellow lines going past the house to. The need for off street parking is vital to me and the house owner. I wonder who in authority may help . or might give a toss.

I have a court appearance for a CA 22348b ticket (over 100mph). I plan to use an attorney and want to know is it better to use one that is local to that court or to retain one that is from out-of-town. I live 2 hrs away from the county where this was cited. Thanks.

This past weekend I was pulled over one mile from a bar for "swerving." After passing a field sobriety test, I failed a breathalyzer blowing .08 which is the limit in Indiana. I was never asked for my registration or proof of insurance. I was charged with Operation While Intoxicated. This is my first offense; I have never been in trouble before. Do I need to get a lawyer in order to keep my license? Will I have fines, probation, or alcohol classes? Any information on how to clear my record?

Why are people against him? He's not trying to kill everybody (opposed to Hitler, who's main goal was exactly that). The guy is doing his best. Give him a break!!! What would you do in his position and would it work? i mean come on. he's what we've got, we are one country and we need to support each other and stick together if we are ever going to succeed. Trashing Bush isn't going to do anything but create hostility between us. I will suport our president forever. why won't you?

Does anyone know if in the state of Illinois if you get just a warning do you still have to pay a fine? I got pulled over and I know the officer said "sign here to verify that this is just a warning not a ticket" But I still have to pay so maybe he mixed his words up... I'm not sure. Does this sound right to anyone?

The United States remains the best country on earth in which to live. Witness all of the immigrants who come here for a better life. We have unsurpassed freedoms and opportunities found no where else in the world. I am grateful and fortunate to be an American. Sure, we have problems. Our country has faced problems of nearly every kind and nature since it was founded. But, we have survived and become a better place to live over the long run. So, isn't it time for those Americans who relentlessly bash America to take a hard look at what this country offers to them and affirm that they too are fortunate to be Americans?

OK, I snore - badly!! Well, my neighbor just had her boyfriend move in and he is a WALL BANGER. Not knocking, but to the point of moving the pictures on the walls. I have called the Apt complex and they did nothing. I have even gone to the extent of sleeping downstairs to help them -- we have paper thin walls -- I can hear everything, conversations, etc (if you get my drift). Every weekend I have 3 of my grandkids stay with me (4yr - 6yr). Now, for my specific questions... I am planning to get earplugs for MYSELF so that his constant banging does not bother me --- they are too dumb & lazy to do anything for themselves! I don't believe they can call the police on me for noise, but if this continues while the kids are there and it scares them, can I press chgs against them? I am up for any and all legal recourses -- I am fearful of retaliation, think this guy is a few cans short of a 6-pk. I don't want the kids or my dog hurt! Surgery for me is not an option right now.
