Getting paid by USA company and living in the USA. Ok, makes sense to file USA return. How do I handle my CDN tax return? Can I file a NIL return (assumed NO CDN income), stating that I got paid and filed in USA? Or do I have to muck with the fact that the tax %age is different, and convert salary and taxes paid to CDN, and then figure out a difference... ? Anyone know? Thanks!

If you were paid by an American company and had American taxes withheld, you file in the U.S. If your company is Canadian and you paid Canadian taxes, file in Canada. Simple as that.
