The Christmas song, War is Over by John Lennon. Is great. It delivers it's message with dignity inside a wonderful song. I'm also partial to What's Going On by Marvin Gaye.

Green Day used to be stupid three chord punk. Just because 1 album features anti Bush songs doesn't mean they write protest songs. Plus remember, Bush's tax cuts helped out the wealthy, ie Billie Joe Armstrong. Their early songs were about masturbastion, not politics.
The name of the Who song is Baba O'Reilly, not Teenage Waste Land. You may want to listen to "Gimme Shelter" by the Rolling Stones, 80% of Neil Young (especially "Rockin In the Free World."), the MC5, Blowin in the WInd by Bob Dylan and many classic rock songs.

Toby Keith - "Courtesy of the Red, White, and Blue"
He has a few other songs that are very patriotic. Also, Darryl Worley - "I Just Came Back From A War" and "Have You Forgotten". All these songs have to do with 9/11 and stuff like that. I'm not sure if that's what you're looking for?

give peace a chance
who sings it? pretty much everyone has probably sang it at one time or another. Have you? (your singing it right now aren't you, at least in your imagination)
I can't think of a contradictory song off hand, but I'm sure there are heavy metal songs like Kill Em All or something like that

We want America back
It has been done by many artists. I think the most stirring phraze in it is. "I will write to my congressman and I will tell him that I am not raising Dogs at my house I am raising CHILDREN!"
