A conservative is one who practices conservatism, correct? Here's the definition (Merriam-Webster) of conservatism. Is this what the Bush administration practices? They sure seem to have tried to make lots of changes.

A friend still in need of help?

My friend just found out her alien registration a few months ago, to renew it cost $260..can she not renew and send in her application in to take the test for naturalization..how long can she go w/o renew, if she's waiting for an appt from the immigration, is there any forms she has to get? What do you think about Bush's health care plan?

As far as I can see, it only helps wealthy and upper middle class families, it does nothing to help the people who need it most, the working poor and families making less than $60,000 a year who do not have insurance through their employers.

VA benefits question.?

I was honorably discharged in 2001. Have not received any form of VA health coverage, nor my MGIB? Why is that, is this somethign that I was responsible for after discharge, or was there supposed to be forms sent via mail, or upon leaving my base? I've tried getting in touch with the VA, and i've talked to numerous people and have gotten diffrent stories from each. Perhaps someone here has gone through the same situation, and can direct to the right path to get my health coverage that I deserve for serving my country.

Army Military, What happens in MEPS? What is NEXT?

I am schedule to take my physicals at the MEPS in order to join the Army.

1. Why do we have to spend the night over at a motel provided by the Army??

2. Will they provide dinner and breakfast for us than?

Is this proof the Dems dont look at reality when dealing with the countries economy?

According to Jim Webbs speech dems and reps look at the economy differently however; his assesments are not correct according to the experts.

He said
"wages and salaries of our workers are at an all time low as a percentage of national wealth."

"economists never use wages as a percentage of national wealth instead they use it as a percentage of cost of living, and when you compare the wealth and cost of living the sky is not falling as Jim Webb is saying"

He also said, "our manufacuting base is being dismantled and our jobs are going along with it"

However "economists say that it is true that manufacturing jobs are leaving however High tech jobs are coming in which balances out the flow, and to not mention this is a dishonest account of what is going on"
