Purple Heart is for those who are wounded during battle. A Silver Star is for exemplary behavior while in a war zone..............

There exists no such U.S. military award named the silver heart.

If you mean Silver Star, that is awarded for valor in combat. A Purple Heart is awarded upon receiving a combat wound.
