My friend and I are planning to go to the DMV this saturday to get our permits to legally learn how to drive. (i'm 19 and she's 18) I already know how to drive, so does my friend, but I recently heard that even if you're over 18 you still need a permit for [x] amount of months, is this true? or can I walk in and take my drivers test? Does anyone know what the California law says? [please, only CA drivers - thank you] and don't say call the DMV- the rude biotch on the phone hung up on me!

i was looking at the BBC in spain and was told that thay donot pay a licence fee, we as a nation subsedise all of the world with our TV Licence. we shouls askee for a rebate as we are beeing sharfted yet again, i for one will be asking for a rebate also i will be withholding my licence fee untill this is sorted out, also why should i as many others, pay for the constant repeats from the BBC?,
I also i dont like sports so why was a good film be shelved for the ###### football? last night on /Wed 17/1/07, can some one please tell this goverment that enough is enough we are taxed to the hilt already, we pay 51% of our wages to this goverment , this is called tax plus ni stamps, ,we only if we are lucky only have 2% pay rise a year, these price rises that thay allow are beond the wage incresses that most of us get,hay this pay rise will not get me out of the hole i am now in as the Halifax has just put up my house payments. talk about being s### on from a hight

Salaries wages are not going up. Why are the minium wage to middle classes being penalized? Nobody is representing us! It seems that the enegy companies are being given free range to do whatever they want to when it comes down to raising costs with no limits. The commissioners governing them only rubber stamp the approval of those raises. What can be done?

What do you see happening in Iraq in 4 weeks?

Seriously, I want to know the answer to this question. I read and hear it over and over again that we must get out troops out of there. However the thought appears to stop at the period ending that sentence.

Apparently so. They have passed all of their "First 100 Hours" proposals except one and they have been in session for less than 40 hours. I wonder if they will take Monday and Friday off next week like the Republican Congress has done for the last several years?
