Just for fun: predict the outcome of the 2008 election, in detail?

Question

Report it as if it is the next day - candidates, outcome, vote counts, surprises, a recap of the campaign, etc.

I will try to pick whoever comes closest to what I think WILL happen, not necessarily what I WANT to happen. Or maybe someone will just be funny or creative. Whatever.

What do I WANT? McCain to win in 08. (with Giuliani as his VP)

What do I THINK will happen? McCain will lose in the primary and hopefully Giuliani wins the nomination.

In the Dems primary - Obama and Edwards go at it and Obama wins the nomination. (although, it'll be close)

So the race would be Obama V.S. Giuliani in 2008 - Doesn't matter who wins... I kinda like them both. But I think it'd be Guliani.

I think this election is going to come down to domestic politics. Everyone is going to be talking so much about Iraq - but its impossible to come up with a "good plan" of how to deal with the whole situation. Because of that, people will be voting based on their other hot button issues, which (i believe) are domestic. Whichever candidate decides to focus on his (or her) views concerning domestic issues will end up taking this one home.

We'll have to wait and see.

You look like obama in your cartoon picture. I hope he doesn't win. He's a good talker, he talks like a moderate, but look at how he votes. It's always VERY left wing. That shows what he truly believes.
